I must congratulate and thank you for going to the top of the hill . Today I went up three quarters ( roughly 550 steps) and stopped because of the sun . It is said that there are 740 steps to the top.

The temple on the top is a small establishment.I am surprised at the mismatch between effort and material that was spent on building the stairs/ steps and that spent on the temple itself. The stairs are pretty impressive in their scale and how well they are preserved.I did not notice one single stone out of its place!! The stairs are nearly 10 to 11 feet wide.They get more steep in the final third of the length. It looks really scary in your video, with how steep it looks when the camera looks down the steps .It is not that scary in reality. What is missing is hand rails that people can hold on to when using the steps/stairs. Overall, climbing the steps is not for the physically unfit....

Anyone visiting this temple will do well to go and see Sugguru village, about 5km from the temple.Thete are huge tanks(cheruvulu) around Sugguru, sorrounded by hills.The land scape is rare for AP and will be enjoyed by those who like beauty of landscapes.

The third temple of Narasima Swamy is swyambhu, Narasimha Swamy has appeared in dream to one Ananta Bhagavati and Atyuta Bhagavati of Devulapali vamsam and indicated his manifestation. Both these are poor brahminsa and very devouted, They went to Akkana and Madanna who helped them to grants lands for the temple. They originally constructed the temple in the cave and had taken care for quite some time. Later they handed over the yajamanyam to Nuzvid Zamindars who developed the temple. Devulapalli family still holds the rights for Vaikunta Ekadasi pooja. I am proud descendent of that family. Not many know this history and wanted to share with all
