Hello, my fellow travellers! I am super excited as this video is the first of many videos, where I will be featuring the beautiful neighbouring country of ‪@srilankatourism_SLTPB‬ . This was my first time visiting the country and I absolutely fell in love with it! Hope you also enjoy this series of Sri Lanka, where I will be featuring the East Coast of the country.
Even during the crisis in Sri Lanka, the country stands strong, welcoming tourists with open arms.
In this video, I will be visiting the glorious and oldest radio station of #Asia, #RadioCeylon Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation and witness the beautiful connection that India's Bollywood has with Sri Lanka.
I am also going to talk about trying the best Indian food in #colombo #srilanka that I highly recommend everyone to try at least once.

Respected Apoorva ji, I got this link from my friend and former SLBC Hindi announcer Mr. Ripusudan Kumar Ailawadi ji . In these days also I am active listener of Radio Shrilanka as well as Vividh Bharati. But very sorry to say that both of them have stopped using records and record players without converting all records with perfect and total information in degital format. SLBC library is having record player for remaining conversion, and as I am fond of listening and collecting instrumental film tunes, even tunes of old songs, recorded and published in old days, I have provided a list of such film tunes, since long. But didn't get any follow up from library in-charge. Off cource, COVID setuation is to be considered. But now about for last one year, setuation is almost normal. I afried that so many valuable collection will be remaining of no use for kin listeners like me. I am going to present the same list with request to take up with her, as I am listener since 1957 and on today I am 73 years old ?

Respected Piyush Ji, I am very sorry that I missed your comment last year. Please accept my sincere apologies. The library is understaffed and they are not very active in responding to queries either. They indeed have very old Hindi songs which are not even available here in India. Please do share your list with me. I will definitely share it with the Tourism Board and will request them to take it up with Radio Ceylon's head of department to see if getting you those records will be possible.

Thanks for the program. The first Sri Lankan private FM stereo Radio station was FM 99. Launched in1993. We had Tamil listeners from south India who were sending us requests in post cards.❤❤

बहुत अच्छा वीडियो बनाया है आपने .मै बचपन से रेडियो सीलोन सुनता था जो 25 शार्ट वेव पर आता था .अब मोबाइल टाँवर के रेडियेशन की वजह से शार्ट वेव और मीडियम वेव रेडियो मे नहीं आते हैं .परन्तु मै आज भी रेडियो मे आकाशवाणी नियमित सुनता हूँ .हमारे यहाँ एफ एम 202,2 आता है.
