@SKGGG2 жыл бұрын
@@travisfein Mirissa makes for a picturesque stay by the sea, and is arguably the best and most popular area to go whale-watching in Sri Lanka. What makes it a prime spot for whale-watching is its geographic position: this is where the continental shelf is at its narrowest, with ocean depths reaching 1km a few kilometres offshore. There are plenty of tour operators (mostly at Mirissa Harbour) who offer dolphin- and whale-watching excursions, setting off from Weligama Bay. There are also a few touts who offer tickets at cheaper prices, but it’s important to choose a reliable operator for the most eco- and safety-conscious trip. Some boats cater for eight or so people, others over fifty. Tours start early at 6am, and during the three to four hours you’re out on the water, you’re likely to catch sightings of blue, sperm and possibly even a Humpback whale. I highly doubt they’d allow you to swim with the whales. We don’t want Travis to be swallowed by a whale 😋 We’d like to see more of your videos.

The problem is in your pronounciation boys. Your errorneous and accented pronounciation of the word "Yala" is the root cause why the locals cannot understand you, and being pointed back and forth. Also there is no bus destination called "Yala"'. I don't have to tell you, but a much more sensible way would have been to check "google maps" and selected the bus route which would have shown the end destination of the bus. Also, you could have easily got on to a bus to " Kataragama", which is the end destination by bus to get to the Yala national park.

Nice vlog. Little explanation . When you tried to find the correct bus in Matara Bus station , some guy directed you to Galle bus cue. The reason was your pronouncing of Yala .He thought you are asking Gal-le (Galle) instead of Yal- le ( Yala)national park. Other thing is that fruit you ate in the bus is 'Dialium indum, the tamarind-plum' Finally ' Machang' is a word for using your equal age or younger aged person as show your friendliness . But we as locals don't use this word to adults or elder persons. That they believe it is a kind of insult of them. Please consider this before using this word again . Have a nice stay Machang
