It's good to hear the admiring of Sri Lankan culture and smiling people. also thank you for promoting Sri Lankan fruits and its great taste. You can try Durian (king of fruits) but it is a seasonal fruit. July & August is the best season in Sri Lanka.

Tourist guides and chauffeurs who deal with tourists can perform a valuable service to promote tourist industry in Sri Lanka. They act as the link between the guest and the locals as well as the locations. They will be able to educate local vendors and they exchange their views and experience too. As such the authorities concerned need to pay much attention on working with tourist guides and the supporting services for the success of the industry.

You'll find many can speak in English around the suburbs but not much in the countryside. Tamil is just a minority in Sri Lanka. Sinhalese is the majority
