There are sooo many other SL foods you have to try!!!: 1. Top Food: KOTTU ROTI: its basically chopped roti with some veggie and meat (I prefer mutton). It's kinda like a mixed fried rice but with roti instead of rice! 2. Second top food (also one Jordan might tolerate cuz its sweet) is APPAM: its kind of like a pancake and the middle has either sweet milk in it or a runny egg! You can also get it plain and eat it with sambol. 3. IDIYAPPAM (which may be refered to as "string hoppers"): its made from rice flour so it kinda resembles rice noodles. But its really like a pancake that you ca neat with any curry. This itself isn't spicy so Jordan might like it too! 4. PUTTU or PITTU: this is also made from rice flour and tastes similar to idiyappam; its basically like an alternative to rice with more coconutty flavor. 5. And here are some apps you have to get!: mutton rolls, fish cutlets, and fish patties. You can ask them to make it mild and they probs will. 6. DESSERTS!: Watalappam (custard) and falooda (which is like a drink but sweet!) All the other curries are great and any restaurant will recommend the most popular. Thanks for trying our food!:)

You cannot expect Sri Lankan food to be less specy since Sri Lankans invented spices. We love our food hot and spicy and that's the only way we can feel the taste of our food. We always eat out meals hot otherwise it will definitely make us disappointed. Try some traditional Sri Lankan Lampraise a most-must-try dish from SL. Or try string hoppers with daal curry, coconut sambol and potato coconut gravy and then try hoppers, plain and egg hoppers and last but not least Kottu Roti one of the most recognizable dishes from Sri Lanka.
