Wonderful bit of history. My late uncle was married to the daughter of Ceylon's (as the country was previously called) first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court after Independence. He may have traveled in this historical car.

ALI you can see many vintage vehicles in Srilanka. Many collectors. They all take part in old Cross festivals held in different parts in county. Colombo, kandy, kurunegala, Galle, Nuwaraeliya, It was fun to watch. If you happen to go to gangaramaya temple museum you will see plenty of vintage cars. Hi.. why don't you visit sri lanka ancient city Anuradhapura?? There are so many places that u can visit also so many lakes and tanks available. I feel u missed most important place in Sri Lanka. Please Try to visit Anuradhapura. U will get chance to see so many old castle religious places which has more than 1000 years history.
