Sorry to hear that. Most Sri Lankans are honest, friendly & hospitable But, be careful with some bus conductors, tuk tuk drivers. Always asked about charges prior to confirm your trip. Asked from locals about charges if you suspect that they charge more.please ask tickets from bus conductors. If charge more, complain to police or transport board with the ticket. Enjoy your holiday.

Try to choose red buses. They are government owned and wont scam you. Always ask for a ticket or ask a bystander if the price doesn't feel right.

Yes. Owned by various independent owners but they should standardized rates. Rates on red buses are lower since they are run by the government but they do not come as often as private buses@@dunneytravels

Careful about eating at these places because you can get an upset stomach. The bus number 32 is well-known for scamming people. He is a well-known scammer.

If you remember the bus number plate, please inform to the police . Those scam bags must be punished. Have to say majority Sri Lankan are very friendly and trust Worthy, where ever you goes you will find scum bags even in England. Enjoy your holiday while you were in Sri Lanka, make sure less complain and vinging. Otherwise putting off watching your vlogs guys 😅

However on that day the bus conductor was not one of them, so hopefully this prevents other people from receiving the same treatment 😊

You have got on to a wrong bus .no 32 is Colombo katharagama express bus .with your back packs price they charge seems to be correct.even a local have to pay 3 or 4 times more without heavy bagages in this long distance express busse. Rs 1000 equalant to 2.5 pounds. What i gethor by watching your channel you both expect everything to be perfect and cheap. Where the hell in Uk or Europe you can have a comfortable Room facilities with such cheap transport and meals for less than 10 pound s or dollers a day .😂😂 Already Sri Lanka is dam cheap . And you expect more cheaper. These kind of backpacker's want help for the economy of this country. . they are just enjoying the facilities given to the locals by the Sri Lankan taxpayers. . I am appalled to read your comment. It is not because of tourist / travelers but sadly because of your way of thinking and your way of life. I am aware it is not the attitude of most of the humble Sri Lankans, but the egoistic, nationalists like you. I knew / know a few Burgher Ceylonese who left after the independence. Long time ago they predicted what that is in Sri Lanka now. They say they had to leave the paradise since Brits leaving, who left the legacy of order, values, manners and ethics. They still cry for the land they left behind (thinking of who are suffering from poverty) even when they enjoy much comfortable lives here, yet they knew the inevitable. The country where I live never charge extra for the visitors. Our excellent world class public transport system is reasonably priced, never over crowded. We never charge by the looks of people, whether they are Christians, Hindus, Muslims, locals, visitors etc. Above all we never keep the change money (balance)!!! If anyone keeps the change, they it is stealing, robbing and we do not promise to a god that we do not steal because taking something that does not belong to you is wrong, and that is our lives here. Yet we know mankind is not always kind. We have a saying here, "just keep the ego in your pocket when you are hungry" Have a nice day!
