You're eating north indian food in south India and saying it's nice. Tells me you are not too familiar with Indian food. Recommend trying local cuisine wherever you go. India has about 30 states with each having dishes that are unique to that state or the region. Truly authentic taste is only achieved by places that have been making the food for generations.

Tadka dal...is the most basic dal we do....there are literally hundreds we do especially with leafy vegetables and dal....like.......do try palakura pappu or southindian leafy dal....another level honestly...you should try dal.makhani for best North Indian dal experience

You should try local curries like vegetable curries because no one does it like us trust me...try thalis if you want to try different varieties at once....

That’s a nice hotel but if you stay in a 5 star hotel anywhere in India, trust me you will know. 5 star in India is like 7 star anywhere else. The hospitality is off the charts. This is definitely 3 to 4 stars.
