Hi Assai, I made a nice Sri Lankan Chicken curry, a white okra curry with coconut milk, plenty of dried prawn powder and Basmati rice. I am about to make a second batch. I loved it so much. The coconut symbol is going to me my next project. Thanks for a BRILLIANT recipe. Kindest Regards @@AasaiRasaiRecipes

@@AasaiRasaiRecipes You should try it. My mom used to make it as a quick and simple breakfast or dinner. Best with roast paan (roast bread)

Woow.. so delicious.. one of my favorite food in Sri Lanka.. hope I can eat again soon...🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
hi, hope you can help me, i tried making this and it didn't taste like normal lunu miris. it tasted strongly like raw onion and lime but it didnt have that authentic taste. do you know what i could have done wrong?
@AasaiRasaiRecipes7 жыл бұрын
Hi Mn Vivre! This is a lunu sambol. The lunu miris is pretty much the same ingredients but all the ingredients are ground to a paste. This will have the onion taste to an extent but you need to add enough salt, lime and chillie to balance it off and essentially drown the onion taste to a minimum, by rubbing in (by hand) while mixing the ingredients. Hope this helps.

normally lunu sambol that you get in every restaurant in Sri Lanka is grated very very fine and there's also a lot of dry fish in it !!!
@AasaiRasaiRecipes8 жыл бұрын
You are right. There are variations to this. It can be made with or without 'Maldive Fish' (what you are refering to as "dry fish"), and can also be made in a grinder, or using a mortar and pestle. :)
