Thank you Sir for this Srilankan traditional dish which goes well with any main dish. We make seeni sambal stuffed bun. Eat this with SL yellow rice. I am proud you made this dish. Lots of love from Sri lanka. Pls make the yellow rice as well

In Sri Lanka, we love Seeni Sambol. Specially during trips we use Seeni Sambol Sandwiches. Easy for preparation. It will not spoiled even if it get later

Seeni sambol and hoppers are the best combination. I always use make seeni sambol for hoppers... we used chilli flakes

You miss main ingredient cloves powder. You have take equal amount of cloves and cardamom and grind it and add.

மதுரையில் இதை வெங்காய கொத்ஸு என்போம். சீனிக்குப் (white sugar) பதில் வெல்லத்தை உபயோகிப்போம். இதில் ஒரே வித்தியாசம், திரு. வெங்கடேஷ் பட் அவர்கள் முதலில் நறுக்கப்பட்ட வெங்காயத்தை வெறுமனே dry roast செய்கிறார். அவ்வாறு இல்லாமல் சிறிதளவு செக்கு நல்லெண்ணையில் வெங்காயத்தை வதக்கி இதைச் செய்வோம். மற்றபடி அதே செய்முறை தான். ஏலக்காய் மட்டும் இதில் சேர்க்க மாட்டோம். கறிவேப்பிலை அதிகமாக சேர்ப்போம். இந்த வெங்காய கொத்ஸுவை சிறுவயது முதல் (இப்போது என் வயது 61) ருசித்து சாப்பிட்டுள்ளேன். மிக அருமையான ருசியுடன் இருக்கும். சப்பாத்தி / தோசை / இட்லிக்கு பிரமாதமாக இருக்கும். சூடான சாதத்திலும் பிசைந்து சாப்பிடலாம். - அன்புடன் குரு ராஜன்
