One doubt - If he had cured his disease through yogic power, he could have enlighten hundreds of more disciples and send them all over India enlightening the common people about Karma, Sufferings, Mind, Body, Spirituality thus it could have a life long impact on them and upcoming generations and today the situation would have been different.

no doubt - all is as it should be - just keep consciousness (yours) on it's source through all the vicissitudes of life. we all have infinite variety of issues. no one's worse or better than others. there does seem to be a "life long impact", if that's your concern. it is not up to us, as ramakrishna realized. just relax your consciousness at it's source (god, emptiness, tao, great spirit, silence, etc...) and let what's to be, be -- good/bad, /right/wrong, /hard/easy/, all our preconceived perceptions and concepts. peace ~ bless

@@Spiritualbee But Sri Ramakrishna made a distinction between a jivakoti and an avatara. Jivakotis travel from imperfection to perfection, but an avatara is ever perfect. An avatara is born out of his own free will but not forced by past karma. Certainly we are essentially divine and there is no difference at the core. We can also realise this oneness by purifying our minds but we cannot become avatars like Krishna. Swami Vivekananda, "I am never Râma [never one with Ishvara, the personal aspect of God], but I am [one with Brahman, the impersonal, all-pervading existence]. Here is a huge mass of clay. Out of that clay I made a little [mouse] and you made a little [elephant]. Both are clay. Melt both down They are essentially one. "I and my Father are one." [But the clay mouse can never be one with the clay elephant.]" Sri Ramakrishna also said this to Swami Vivekananda, "He who was Rama, He who was Krishna, He himself is now in this body, Ramakrishna - but not in your Vedantic sense"

God becomes the human incarnation to preach the spiritual knowledge Preaching of the knowledge can be done by human form only. Hence, God becomes the human incarnation to preach the spiritual knowledge. For this reason only, you cannot treat inert statues and photos as God, which are unable to do preaching. They can be treated only as the representative models helpful in developing theoretical devotion. Veda says the same (Na tasya Pratima Asthi). The statue is only to train the devotion in the beginners as said by Shastra (Pratimaahyalpabuddhinaam). The unimaginable God enters the human form like the electricity entering the wire. The electrified wire can be treated as the electricity for all practical purposes. The human incarnation can be treated as the unimaginable God for all the practical purposes by the devotees. We must understand first the meaning of the word ‘Datta’. Datta means the unimaginable God given to humanity in the human form for giving right direction through preaching of true spiritual knowledge. Unless we understand the word ‘Datta’, the celebration of Datta Jayanthi has no meaning. The word Yoga means reaching or joining Datta, the contemporary human incarnation of the unimaginable God. Karma Yoga means the work done by you in the association of God Datta. It involves not only your service to Datta, but also your participation in the program of Datta without aspiring any fruit from Him. The real proof for your detachment from the fruit shall be only when you surrender the fruit to the Lord. This is the highest level of Karma Yoga often represented by the word Yoga. Therefore, Yoga means the involvement in the work of God without aspiration for any fruit and surrendering totally the fruit of all your work to God. This is the highest level of Karma Yoga. Hanuman sitting on the flag of the chariot of Arjuna stands for this highest level. He involved Himself in searching and attaining Sita, the fruit of all His work. He never aspired for Sita even in dream and surrendered her to Rama, the human incarnation. Below this level on the ground, we can find Arjuna and Duryodhana in the chariots. Both these are fighting for the kingdom, the fruit to be enjoyed by them. But, Arjuna refused this fruit stating that he cannot kill the elder relatives. This shows that he is not attached to the fruit. Such a person is eligible for the Divine Knowledge given by the Lord. If you see the case of Duryodhana, he was very much attached to the fruit. The detachment to the fruit helped Arjuna not to have any mental tension during the work (war) and this led to his success. Duryodhana became weak due to the mental tension and finally ended in the failure. The Karma Yoga in the highest level means not only detachment from the fruit, but also complete surrender of the fruit to the Lord. This can be seen in our elders, who surrender the fruit of their long worship by saying ‘let the fruit of this be surrendered to God’ (Etatphalam Sarvam Eeswaraarpanamastu). They leave water in the plate by saying this at the end of the long worship. In the lower level of Karma Yoga only detachment from the fruit is followed during the work but the fruit is enjoyed by them at the end. This detachment to fruit gives reduction in the mental tension and hence becomes the former stage for surrendering the fruit to Lord. Arjuna is an example for this, who showed the detachment to the fruit (kingdom) in the beginning itself. He was prepared to surrender the fruit also but not to the Lord. He surrendered the fruit to Kauravaas who were undeserving. Then, Lord explained that the war is His program to support justice (Pandavaas) and to destroy injustice (Kauravaas). Thus, the work and fruit belong to the Lord and not to Arjuna. Arjuna should enjoy the kingdom not as a fruit of his work, but as decided by the Lord being the fruit of Lord’s work. In this angle fight of Arjuna and enjoyment of kingdom by Arjuna are not personal of Arjuna, but both are impersonal being personal of the Lord. This new angle relieves Arjuna from his problem of killing his elders. Duryodhana is a case of attachment to the fruit from the beginning to the end and surrender of fruit to Lord does not arise at all.

Well I liked the karmic concept here but I feel few points are missed. 1. One pointedness practiced in karma is to cross the samsaric realm and clean all karmic impressions or in other words burn them. Now if you are a avatar, you still have not burned it completely and still identifies with the earth element or body. Even though you are advanced, but because of highly complicated karmic laws and cycles, you will avoid to create more karma as you again have to burn them. So to keep karmic checks and balances in place, you have to be sensitive enough to understand any such event that will override your karmic balance. Sri Paramhansa gurudev understood it quite well and so did not try to cure it as it will disturb his already earned spiritual dignity n power to move higher. 2. Another point, such avatars, who are really rare on earth are instructed by higher powers to act in a very careful way, in nirvikalpa samadhi, you stay in sahasrara and don't want to touch upon earth element unless really necessary. So at such higher states, mind compound gets transmuted to a different compound that emits super conscious states so avatars will not act anything that is against the communiqué.
@starlight272775 жыл бұрын
Dear Prasoon, you have to distinguish between body and soul. The body is just a vehicle for the soul. An Avatar has taken on a human body in order to be active in this world. Otherwise he would be a disembodied spirit and no one would see him, hear him, or recognize him. An Avatar makes a big sacrifice to leave his spiritual abode Satya Loka. When he comes down to earth he starts his mission to save souls and bring them back to the Kingdom of God. Although he takes on a physical body that is under the law of the earthly elements, his soul remains pure and untouched and stays connected to Satya Loka. An Avatar acts according to the laws of heaven, to the will of God. We humans create karma when we act against the laws of Nature, against the will of God. An Avatar is ONE with God and acts according the will of God. The will of an Avatar and the will of God have become ONE. We cannot speak anymore of my will and Gods will, because the I and God have become ONE. When such a soul takes on a human body he becomes an embodiment of God. Point 2 of your comment. To work as an Avatar or as an Enlightened Master in this world you have to be chosen by Sat Purush the Lord of Satya Loka. Satya Loka is the highest heaven for humans who have reached enlightenment. Satya Loka is the home of all Saints and Masters. The word Avatar means the embodiment of God. When you reach enlightenment your soul has become ONE with God and you will go to Satya Loka. When you gain enlightenment in this life time you go straight to Satya Loka after death. There you can choose whether you stay as a Saint or become a Master. When you become a Master at some point you leave Satya Loka and come down to earth to teach people and lead them back to the kingdom of God. When you leave Satya Loka your soul stays connect to that level, in ONENESS with God, so you become an Avatar, a God living in a human body. Free of karma, but you take on karma of your disciples and the world to speed up their evolution process. 🙏 Namaste, be Loved, Be Blessed

Even the Brahma Vishnu Rudra also has karmas when they are born on earth and even in Satya Lok, they have karmas, karma is not something not associated with just humans, it's the degree of karma which requires the degree of understanding and its implications on material to spiritual to causal to supracausal worlds. Yogic powers are for spiritual upliftment and not show business/ circus like entertainment of masses - 1) Sri Ramakrishna used them to spread the knowledge of Advaita Vedanta in the whole world. He transferred his powers to Swami Vivekananda for this reason. Today we Indians are very proud of Swami Vivekananda and the spiritual knowledge that he brought forth - for all this we actually have to thank Sri Ramakrishna. 2) He also used his yogic powers to uplift Hindu society from the depths of depravity that it had fallen into in his time. There was a reason why the British and Moguls succeeded in conquering India. And this was the fallen state of Hindu society with its rampant caste discriminations and miserable status of women. Sri Ramakrishna took birth to once more present before the people the true teachings of the Vedas, which had gotten lost in time, thus uplift the people and help the world transition from kaliyug to Satyug. This transition is ongoing, we are in the period of Yug Sandhi. Watch the next video (Part 3) to learn more. Shall be released in about 2 weeks.

This desire to help the hungry, the poor...where do you think that comes from? And why should human society bother with these desires? Isn't survival of the fittest, and ruthless competition without any morals better? If you say there is a place for morality in society then the question becomes where do these values come from? If you say they are innate, that is correct but then why do some have a higher moral standard than others? Why are some people kind and other wicked? What accounts for this difference? The answer from vedanta is that these qualities are innate in the soul, but get eclipsed by the Samskaras in the mind. This is the Vedantic answer. You may not agree but then you will have to give a better answer that can account for all these differences. So it is to make mankind humane and moral and to uplift it from its natural brute state (of ruthlessness, wickedness) this has been the role of religion. Your assertion that it is all mumbo jumbo merely indicates that you have not thought about these philosophical questions deeply. The health of any society is not determined by its technological progress but by its moral stature. Otherwise humanity is just 1 step away from cannibalism and Nazism. The role of Avatars and Rishis in Hinduism has been to raise this moral stature. Also Advaita is not some ancient knowledge that must be thrown in the dustbin, for today science has taken over. Science has still not answered the fundamental question - what is the source of consciousness? This is the unanswered question of science which has been beautifully resolved by Advaita Vedanta. It is for this reason that many physicists of the world study the Upanishads, which you are ready to relegate to the dustbin of history. And the latest research on consciousness has proposed a theory very much in line with the Vedantic position. www.spiritualbee.com/posts/consciousness-conundrum-facing-science/ Also if you read the writings of BR Ambedkar, you will understand clearly how the caste system played a huge role in helping a handful of British subjugate the whole of India. The lower castes whom the upper caste Hindus shunned badly, went and joined the East India Company's army to overthrow their upper caste oppressors. So to change this vile mentality of discrimination that had got rooted in the Hindu mind, Sri Ramakrishna took birth.

You seem to be making many sweeping assumptions. Why paint everything with the same brush? One must learn to differentiate between the founder of a religion such as Jesus, and the actions of the followers and priests. Catholic church at times appears more of a political body that a true spiritual one which follows the true teachings of Christ. Regarding beef, you are assuming Hinduism bans beef or pork, like Islam, again your assumption is very wrong. The Rishis of the Vedas actually ate beef too. However the later sages gave it up for some very rational reasons, I can elaborate if you are interested. Try to read the Upanishads with an open mind to understand that Hinduism is not the fanatical ideology that you think it is. Your conceptions about Hindusim are quite flawed. You writings about beef indicate that you are judging Hinduism on the actions of the Hindutva adherents, but Hindutva is a political ideology and has nothing to do with the spiritual teachings of the Vedas and Upanishads.
