Hi Sunny. You bring up the one thing i think everyone faces when we stay to follow this path. "What do i do now? How do i function?" I'm trying to discern."What is my calling?" I spent yrs in bars listening to live music because i play guitar and played in a band for my high school and college yrs and love connecting with people. But now after yrs of drinking and crashing cars, i want to find who i am. It's tough. When i drank i was always spontaneous, laughing. Now i feel way to serious and actually in my head too much. It's almost as if this looking within is making me question what's the right way. Not sure I'm making sense

I almost broke down in tears of inexplicable JOY when watching ppl get on a bus today and realized that there is just one, indivisible "thing" happening yet it looks like a lot of separate individuals doing stuff. The oneness or unity of the moment touched me very deeply as I realized there is just one "thing" here....not a lot of separate things! This description does not touch what I saw & felt as ppl got on & off the bus. It was a short realization but very powerful in that moment! There is really only ONE indescribable "thing" or "isness" apparently happening everywhere. I can't describe it beyond that.........

Thanks for the video, I have been looking for something like this for a while as it presents a challenge to stay with the deeper truth. The ego is a worthy opponent and can constantly try to take over as the I, even saying "I" invites the separation. The greater self, that in which we all are, these bodies, avatars, how ever you want to call it are mere bio computer terminals connected to the greater self, each having it's own experience, at the same time the ego tries to claim ownership. We are it and it is us, we are in God and God is in us. When i look at the hand of this body, it feels normal to say my hand, but it is becoming normal to see me everywhere I look. At times I thought I was going crazy as the ego tries to hang on, then the humour of it all shines through. The divine comedy.

Wow ! This was one of ur best! Yes this is exactly what I've been hoping to find. The way u go about the inquiry is brilliant to me. I've only been on this journey for alittle over 2 years. I was homeless for 7 yrs ( a long dark night of the soul) when I suddenly awakened. This is when I found U n Aaron Ackbe cannel. It's almost unbelievable that since that time I now live in a $500,00 house, officially retired, financially stable n just returned from a month long trip to the Smokey mountains reuniting with my sister after 7 yrs of homelessness n addiction. Whether u know it or not U n ur teachings have been with me every step of this journey so far n THIS video is one of ur best. Thank u for sharing at the end of the video ur journey/process it made me see that maybe I'm actually farther along on this journey than I realize lol 🙂

Watched this multiple times now. Thanks Sunny. I am starting to feel the importance of just surrender and focus on the I during waking days. It’s hard and I am going in and out. But I do feel that life is more exciting as I don’t know what’s coming. Still doing the same job but using less brain and worry and thinking and planning on it. Trusting more of what life gives me and trying to float on the River of life without attempting to change it. Thanks Sunny. All these have helped me tremendously. I now think much less, negative thoughts come much less. Even if they come, I’ll let them go much easier 🙏🙏🙏

This is exactly what I’m in the middle of right now. I’ve let go of every “should“ it takes a lot of courage. Most of the fleeting fears are regarding money. How can I make money if I’m not “doing anything“ yet I am more interested in self mastery and knowing “who I am“ then performing some tasks that don’t come from my calling. Thank you so much for your work

I enjoyed your talk. I have been a devotee of Sri Ramana's for a few years, read his books, watched every video by David Goddard, listened to Papaji, and others, but I compliment you because you put the method in such a clear way, and it helped me. When I wake up, and before I think a thought, I say "I am not my body, I am not my mind, everything is a projection of the mind, who am I", and I am left with a funny feeling that I no longer exist, and now I don't know who I am. It is a lonely kind of feeling, but after a few seconds I realise it is just my mind/ego hanging on for dear life, and I let go of it, and start the day. Thanks for making the video. Much appreciated. You look too young to know about Sri Ramana, but in your case, looks are deceptive. Stick with it.I have read Silence of the Heart by Robert Adams a few times now. He is an interesting man too.

I was coming back to yours self inquiry videos now and then, but i couldnt grasp it ,each time i thought i am yet not there. Today i got there ,and around 14:30 or smthing i guess i get it when u say what goals to have ,what to look forward to . I am a housewife so i dont know really what to achieve now ,what to want but you did cleared the dust lying over the mirror i was looking at . The hardest part is to stay in this self inquiry state while living your life which is always externally focussed especially as a mother ,a wife and a caregiver . Thank u for uploading such stuffs . Blessings

Time just passed on. I did not know i sat like that for 3-4 hours. Have tried other medications earlier but only this made me go to my source and know what is bliss. The way you have explained is crystal clear. I am going to come to this video time and again. Very very grateful to you. 🙏

Mind is bundle of thoughts, like sweater is nothing but wool. "I" is the first thought, then arises me,mine, you, yours.in sleep there is no "I"thought,it arises when we wake up,if this "I" thought is not questioned it remains but when we ask,who I am ,this I vanishes for moment, keep practicing,it will lead to self realisation_as said by Ramanmaharshi. Thank you.

Beautifully done Sunny. I commend you on the clarity with which you explained Ramana Maharshi's 'Self-inquiry' method of spiritual connection with the Self/Guru/God (all are different words for the same source within). I am an old man and I have been meditating consistently for 20+ years and like you, I only very recently came across Ramana Maharshi's teachings; it resonated with me like a major shockwave to my system. Though I've only been doing this for a short while, I am totally captivated my Ramana so much so that I am trying to go to Tiruvannamalai and spend time in his Ashram. Interesting that he died 72 years ago (1950) but his 'Who Am I' self-enquiry method is obviously timeless and universal.

Sunny, the I or the ego is a palpable energy within ourselves. At first, we start with "Who Am I" mentally. But Ramana tells us that in order for the inquiry to truly work we have to go within and hold on to the ego ( which is the false I). So the mind has to dive within to try to locate that palpable energy. If you do that, you may find it under the right side of your heart or under your belly. According to Ramana that palpable energy(the ego, the false I) is the root of all thoughts. True self inquiry is to go within and concentrate your mind on that palpable energy; in other words, to hold on to the ego. When the mind concentrates on that energy there are no thoughts because the mind is not thinking and the ego cannot make up stories. To take the inquiry within means that the mind repeats "who Am I" along with the palpitations of the energy. If you make that your everyday practice, you are going to realize that as you hold on to that palpable energy another major force begins to emerge. That's the true I; that's grace; that's what is going to set the mind on the Right Understanding. Love, stillness and letting go.

hi. i stayed till the end. I love Sri Ramana Maharshi's teachings. Also am helped alot by videos of Papaji. I think the whole planet is rising in consciousness quickly. I feel i have no choice but to let go and let as much of God's love as possible into my heart so it subsumes my ego so the ego no longer calls the shots. heh. Kind of a drag because my ego has alot of unrealized desires, but the satisfaction we actually crave is inward. I loved your video. Thank you.

I love your videos Also read Chapter 7 of Sri Sadhu Om's "The Path Of Sri Ramana, Part One. This was translated by Michel James. If you wish to be rushed forward into Sri Ramana's instruction, please read this. Sri Sadhu Om's explanation of Ramana's teaching is eye opening!!! You will be happy.

I am so conflicted with Ramana Maharshi teachings. Thanks for the video btw. I was introduced to Ramana’s teachings from my now ex. I like his teachings but in this life I find it hard to live up to, at least My boyfriend, I mean my ex, over the course of our relationship became very immersed in RM teachings to the point that he wanted to “dissolve” everything materially, and eventually our relationship because he felt attachment brings unhappiness and the only “way” to “true” happiness was to be detached from everything, to point of buying the smallest pleasures like an espresso. He told me countless times throughout our relationship that he no longer wanted to “chase” after “worldly” things and now he wants to be a monk-which meant the break up of our relationship. I just don’t understand how something so great of a teaching can cause all these hurtful shifts that is suppose to lead to happiness in a person. I mean, a long time ago, I was a Jehovah’s Witness, which I no longer am part of, but part of their teaches was to “not follow the world” and not pursue goals, & and have nice things, etc etc...I was so miserable! I missed out a lot on life. Anyway, I don’t know where I’m getting at with this post, lol, but why is it that you have to give up everything in life-according to RM to feel” complete happiness”? We are brought on this earth to experience life to the fullest right? But if you detach yourself from everything and everyone how is that making yourself happy? I know I’m rambling, but I struggle with RM teachings everyday because when I don’t want to listen to his teachings and pursue what I want I do get to a point that I feel empty but if I solely focus on RM teachings I get resentful because his teachings had so much influence over my ex that now he says he can no longer be with me because romantic relationships are nothing more of a “ compulsion” and that seeking relationships outside does not lead to “true happiness”. :/
