Thank you. I've spent many frustrating hours following numerous online tutorials only to realize their formulas are wrong... lines don't join up, extra little triangles appear at crucial intersections and then I watched your tutorial and I immediately noticed your approach was entirely different. At the beginning I seriously wondered where you were going with it and then ahhhh it all fell perfectly into place. Absolute perfection. I agree best tutorial and viewers should remember if they follow like I did, to flip it over when finished drawing so that the 5 apex triangles face down and 4 up as shown in your final finished piece as this was filmed in front of you as you drew it. Truly awesome. Namaste.

thank you. only thing I didnt get till now: how you determine the relation of "the box" to the "two ornamental rings" and the inner circle. I read at TM fudala about it and since then, I draw it with 24 - 8 - 6 - 3 (relation) so when the inner circle would have for example the radius r=24cm then the next outer ring has 8cm, the second ring 6 cm and then 3x 1cm rings. How do YOU do it?

What is the significance of creating or drawing your own versus using the existing ones? I understand there is always a slight error of margin but nonetheless just honestly trying to understand why drawing it yourself is significant? Recently I’m very oddly drawn to this ‘symbol’ and not sure why. As if I want to just spend all my time with it. None of this makes any sense to me so any advice is greatly appreciated as I’m merely seeking answers for questions that are unknown to me.
@rudra-yoga5 жыл бұрын
Hi, Rita! this drawing practice is not simply drawing. For me this is a form of meditation. The aim is, but the process itself is much more important. It's important to prepare for it - a good light, a very sharp pencil, and very much patience. It's important to do it without a rush. Each detail produces the result. One minor inaccuracy may result in an error in the drawing. Please don't look for fault in yourself, it's your experience. I've spent countless hours, days searching for and drawing Sri yantra. Sooner or later, it will succeed. Good luck to you! OM SHANTI ! 🙏🏾

drawing yantra is a kind of sadhana ,making it perfect involves lots of practice ,patience and great concentration ,that helps you to be in present moment ,isn't we want to achieve when you do any kind of spiritual practice
@tinalee7473 Жыл бұрын
If you draw it correctly you will see there is no margin of error. Every line perfectly crosses the one before. You may need to draw it 100 times before you get it and see why is meditation tool is also known as the Holy Instrument. Its mathematical perfection. The language of the Universe.

For the coloring are we allowed to use any color we desire? And also can we draw floral ornaments inside and outside the sri yantra?
@rudra-yoga2 жыл бұрын
Hi! of course, people improvise. But classically there is a specific exact yantra scheme. For example - the number of lotus petals, where each petal has its own Bija mantra. Colors also matter with own meaning. But there are color differences in different schools.

@tinalee7473 Жыл бұрын
Great question. At this point it doesn't matter as long as both are the same width. The magic happens within the inner circle. The double rings are just guides for the lotus petals. You can make them 1cm or 5 cm it doesn't matter.
