How to draw the Sri Yantra → • Want to draw a perfect...
It’s always intimidating to draw the Sri Yantra by hand, it can all go wrong at any moment. And what if you want to make it super ornate? Even more pressure!
I finally got round to it but it didn’t go quite as I planned. In this video I’ll walk you through my journey with the Sri Yantra. Things might not always go smoothly in this geometric game but it’s worth it in the end.

This video was made possible thanks to my awesome Patreon supporters and channel members...
Natalie Rogers, Ren Levende, Bruno Voglino, Corinne M, Tanja Skok, Beenjamin Jacobs, Jonathan C Purpera, Louise Thompson, Paul White, Tam, Botten Totten, Lynda Orm, Roberto Cabrera, Nicola Haisman, Nef Yolova, Bea Phoenix, Mike Read, Esther Hovenier, Michelle Richards-clermont, Edward Rowland, Bowie Huijgevoort, Bryan Fay, Archna Mohan, Yash Chitnis, Bruno Voglino, Armands Viļums, Khadija Mohamed Moussa, Neo, Janaina Donadio, Brad Rice, Kenny Decks, Emily Bonner, Numan, Michael Saccone, Isabelle Fontaine, Thanh Truong, Abigail Martin, Alessandro, Carolina M, Jessy Van Pottalsberghe, Rubani, Luxurycardstore, Tracey Osterlind, Joshua Payne, Rabefaritra Karine, Sam C, Amy, Pierre Lapouille, Joshua Perez, Paulo Henrique Gomes Matias, Grant Hh, Vana Landers, Isabella Seipolt, Michaël Grin, Dan, Caleb, Juris Svirkovichs, Claudie, Kalaivani Kumareswaran, Maria, Caterina Metisin, Ziane Cavalcanti, Zaur Mazlov

“It takes as long as it takes, and when it’s done, it’s done.” So true. I’m not an artist, but am truly a perfectionist in everything I do. I just finished doing the smallest braids I’ve ever done on myself, and as I did them, I kept saying to myself, they don’t have to be perfect, just keep going. I started a week or so ago. Some days I didn’t touch it at all. But when I finished, I was absolutely in love and satisfied with my perfect imperfection. I said this to say, I completely understand your thought process. I love the way you explained each part of the symbol and what they meant. I’ve been learning to balance my energy and to see this drawing was like confirmation that I am mastering it. Thank you so much for sharing this masterpiece and it turned out perfectly, as the Creator intended ❤

I don't know if you've come across the 80/20 principle? It's complicated, but one aspect can be boiled down to learning when 80% is good enough. Basically perfection is an exponential curve, so as you approach 80% quality on the curve, after that, the effort put in vastly outweighs the benefit. It applies to virtually anything that requires effort, expense, time... I try to live by that, although as a perfectionist, if it's a creative activity then I'll still continue until it's good enough for me to be happy. But at least accepting the decreasing reward is a conscious decision. :)
@jpkatz1435

Re the 80/20 perspective, I think in the spiritual realm it takes 80 % of one's energy to get to 80% consciousness and AT LEAST another 80% or more likely 180% to fulfill the remaining 20%. Of course percentages are a constant variable, GOOD LUCK ON THE JOURNEY.

Love the art, don’t enjoy the negative superstition associated with it. If you draw an imperfect drawing, you have the positive outcome of learning, not bad luck.

I feel you! Almost all my artworks take a lot of time because of my perfectionist tendencies and although i have learnt to be more loose at times, i still like putting a lot of work and intention into a piece. But it really used to intimidate me when i had to start something. So now i just tell myself every time before working on something, “i’m excited for working on this and it’s okay if I don’t finish the amount i intended to, all that matters is that i get to be in this state and create something I really want to”. This approach has eased my procrastination so much as well! 🥰

The wide part upfacing as reseptive and the wide part downfacing as the expressive can be experienced as pure cosmic energy rather then particularly female and male. Also useful to invision and feel in the body these forms as open based pirimids.

Zak that was yet another amazing piece of yours plus you educate on some pretty real things while doing it. That tenth simplex - I agree, that there must be a way to both comprehend and control. I believe that Islam has the answer because I'm finding doors right now, essentially portals with Quran and Sacred geometry that intuitively tell me - yet we can reach that point. Anyway, I appreciate your knowledge,your passion and your very welcomed in the moment connection with your higher state of consciousness that you share with us. Jazak Allah.
