This is one of the most famous srilankan food.Kithul (jaggery palm)thalapa is so delicious and rich in health benefits.Best dish for gastritis.Ancient srilankans have had this as their breakfast..But now most have this as a sweet or dessert..This is super delicious..But you must have this thalapa with sweet coconut milk to get the exact taste.To make that you should add 1tbspn of SUGAR and pinch of SALT to 1/4cupof Coconut milk..Change the amount as your taste..)
To make thalapa you will need
Kithul flour 1/2cup
Water 1/2cup
Salt to taste...
Mix all the ingredients together but remember the mixture should be without any lumps...Use your clean hands to make this mixture without lumps.
Then cook this in medium flame and bring the mixture in to a one ball.
We have not added sugar to thalapa.So add sugar to coconut milk more..More sweet will increase the taste of thalapa..
Have the the thalapa and milk together.
This is a cool food so not recommend to people who suffer from cold...
