ശ്രീറാം നല്ലൊരു മനുഷ്യനും, ഭരണകര്‍ത്താവുമായിരുന്നു,,അപകടം നടന്നതിന് ശേഷം ഇടികൊണ്ട് വീണയാളെ താങ്ങിയെടുത്ത് ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ എത്തിക്കാന്‍ വണ്ടി വിളിച്ചതും ഹോസ്പിറ്റലില്‍ വിളിച്ച് പറഞ്ഞതും,പോലീസിനോട് തന്റെ വണ്ടിയാണ് തട്ടിയതെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞതും ശ്രീറാമാണ്,,അയാള്‍ ഒളിച്ചോടിയതൊന്നുമല്ല,,കൊട്ടേഷനല്ല,,മനപൂര്‍വമല്ലാത്ത നരഹത്യ,,അതിനയാള്‍ക്ക് അര്‍ഹിച്ച ശിക്ഷ കിട്ടണം,,അല്ലാതെ ജോലി ചെയ്തതിന് ചിലര്‍ക്ക് പണ്ടുണ്ടായ ചൊരുക്ക് ഇങ്ങനെയല്ല തീര്‍ക്കേണ്ടത്,,അയാള്‍ പഠിച്ച് ഡോക്ടറായി, IAS നേടിയതാണ്,,കോപ്പിയടിയില്‍ phd എടുത്തതല്ല,, ശ്രീറാമിന് നേരെ ഇപ്പോൾ നടക്കുന്ന മാധ്യമ ആക്രമണം സംഘടിതമാണോ എന്നൊരു സംശയം തോന്നിയിരുന്നു. മന്ത്രി മണിയുടെ പ്രതികരണം ആ സംശയത്തിനു ബലം നൽകുന്നു. ശക്തരായ ആളുകളോട് പിടിച്ചു നിന്ന് ഭൂമാഫിയയോട് പട പൊരുതിയിട്ടുള്ള ആളാണ്‌ ശ്രീറാം. മണിയുടെ വ്യക്തി വൈരാഗ്യം പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്നു അത്രമാത്രം . ശ്രീറാം തെറ്റു ചെയ്തു അതിന് അയാൾ ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുക തന്നെ വേണം അല്ലാതെ ശ്രീറാം ആയതു കൊണ്ട് ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടമെന്നോ ശിക്ഷിക്കാതിരിക്കണമെന്നോ ഇല്ല . കുറ്റം ആരു ചെയ്താലും കുറ്റം തന്നെ. മണി ആശാന്റെ ആവേശം കാണുമ്പോൾ അതിൽ പല അർത്ഥങ്ങളും ഉണ്ട് .. ശ്രീ റാമിനെ പൂട്ടാൻ നടന്നതാണ് അതിനൊരവസരം അയാൾ ആയിട്ട് ഉണ്ടാക്കികൊടുത്തു.എല്ലാ ന്യൂസ് കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു വായിക്കുമ്പോൾ പൊരുത്തകേടുണ്ട് ഒരു സിവിൽ സർവീസ്കാരന്റെ ഭാഗത്തു നിന്നും ഒരിക്കലും ഉണ്ടാവാൻ പാടില്ലാത്ത കാര്യം ആണ് ഉണ്ടായത്.....നിരപരാധി ആയ ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ ഒന്നും അറിയാതെ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു.... പക്ഷേ ആ പേരിൽ ഉളുപ്പില്ലാത്ത കമന്റും കൊണ്ടിറങ്ങിയവന്മാർക്കു എന്ത് യോഗ്യത ആണ് ഉള്ളത് വിമർശിക്കാൻ????? 1, 2, 3 വെട്ടി കൊന്നു , ഇടിച്ചു കൊന്നു, കുത്തി കൊന്നു , എന്നിട്ട് ഡാമിലെ ചെമ്പല്ലിക്കു ഇട്ടു കൊടുത്തു രാഷ്ട്രീയ എതിരാളിയെ എന്ന് മൈക്ക് കെട്ടി പ്രസംഗിച്ചതോ????? അതോ ഒരേ കൊടി പിടിച്ചവന്റെ മുഖത്തിനു 51 വെട്ടു സമ്മാനിച്ചതോ?????? ബലാത്സംഗ കേസ് സ്വന്തമായി അന്വേഷിച്ചു തീവ്രത പോരാ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞവർ ആണ് ഇപ്പോൾ ഇറങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നത്......

Thomas Ranjit I agree. What he did was extremely wrong and a person in power shouldn’t do these kind of things ( I mean drunk driving) and everything else is his personal life. I don’t want to comment on that. However, I still believe that he is not a corrupt officer and will never use his power in a wrong way. I might be wrong but that’s my heart says. All saints have a past and all sinners have a future. I feel really bad for the victim and the accused.

So much of learning, experience and attitude lost for a momentary wrong decision. He ought to have been careful, now the damage is irreversible. Now he has to set an example by subjecting himself to the process of law, rather than trying to bend it. If you break a law, the inevitable consequence has to follow and its not at all proper to attempt to skip it and no one can be an exception. Dr. Sriram IAS has to subject himself to law and face the punishment.

In the interview At around 16:15...he says being true to yourself is important as being true to others,honesty very important. He should have practised what he said even during this incident also and not try to delay or deny the officers from taking the blood sample.We all make mistakes. He should have had the guts to admit the mistake and allowed the officers to take blood sample and should not have gone to private hospital.

At 16.25 he says he is a very frank person unless he is in a compelling situation which he is facing now. Whatever he did was wrong. Bad luck and human error. He is a human being and he is facing a bad situation and at that point its just a human tendency to do what he did by not saying out the things or may be the truth is still unknown you never know.
