Your vast effort to learn and mentate and live by Maharshi's teachings and abide by His own State in our Hearts is so inspiring. Even more educative to us stone-hearted souls is how you choke in tears everytime you mention Bhagavan's name. Surrender is not one time, it is every moment dropping of us to Arunachala, Guru, Self. You may say there is no lineage, that is very true because Maharshi teaches our Self is the Inner Guru. After all when Guru says I am not the Guru, I am only a pointer to your I, the Inner Guru, he himself declined to call himself Guru how can anyone claim to be his lineage! But, still, from our perspective, we have to thank the chain of devoted Sri Muruganar, Sadhu Om Swami, Michael as totally surrendered and totally articulate (கன்மபத்திஞான) Lineage that kindles தீமலையாம் Arunachala Fire in our Heart! This is probably not a lineage that dilutes and grows but soon ends back in the I so it is a short closed chain. This most concentrated teacher list, kindles the fire in us by just turning attention within back over and over again without us getting lost in our sideshows and stories. Our immense Gratitude for the connections and clarifications. What a great presentation. We will listen again and again personally, without interruption, as though we came to your room, prostrated before you and sat down on the floor at your feet (Ramana's feet) and listened to you with rapt attention. நமோ பகவதே ஶ்ரீ ரமணாய!

I hear you brother, that is very true. Nothing wrong in that, but the deeper teaching is to get rid of the dream, since all dreams (even the self-created ones) are mixed bag of deep joy and deep misery and while entertaining, they dont satisfy. Lucid dreaming is on the path to Dissolving the Dream.

Self enquiry, as a meditative method is too inexact ( look within and turn away from all objects) . For vast majority, a systematic practice such as the 4 foundations of mindfulness is essential, to get student to the threshold of complete realisation of Self. At the threshold, a pointing to our true nature by Ramana , meditative self enquiry, or a “session” with another qualified teacher, can bring about “enlightenment”. Relying solely on self enquiry as developed by Ramana will not work, and aspirant is left with “ love for Ramana” tears of gratitude, interesting insights, but sadly, no enlightenment

Namaste. i can see that you're not understanding correctly the uniqueness of the non-Dual inner Silence taught by the holy Ramana of Arunachala, (Which 'technically' is not 'meditation' because all types of meditation are dualistic: 'subject and object' ..the meditator(Subject) concentrating on the meditation technique'(object) i always recommend Sadhu Om's "The Path of Sri Ramana/Part One": ...the BEST shastra on the 'purity and correct' understanding of the non-dual 'inwardness' of Ramana's 'Atma Vichara' (Self being ..called by some as Self enquiry, though it's not an 'asking', a 'Doing(duality) ..BUT a 'Being'(no duality) I shared personally with Sadhu Om and since 1983 have had his famous illuminating Ramanic shastra. If you acquire and read his book you'll correctly understand the superiority of the Bhagavan's 'direct' non'dualist practice of Being, ...Over the indirect' 'meditation' techniques (which includes the dualist 'mindfulness' which you mention) i understand that not everybody feels attracted to Bhagavan's form of not going "outwards" towards an object of attention (meditation technique), ...But instead of "directly" going inwards (not to an "external": object of meditation") ...but towards one's Divine inner Self. i here include my new Ramanic altar in youtube and mention the 3 times in three different countries in which Bhagavan appeared to me. -¡Divine Bliss!
