Ramana Ashram 3 day stay | Arunachalam| Tiruvannamalai | Ramana Ashram | Food | Accommodation | Room

We stayed in Ashram accommodation for 3 days and also ate food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) in the Ashram. As we were 5 people we were given a big accommodation house with hall, bedroom, bathroom. It's very spacious and peaceful stay. Ashram food is pleasant, tasty to eat but not at all spicy. It's mostly sattvic food. We had idli, Pongal with sambar for breakfast. For lunch, we had sambar, kootu, butter milk, pickle. We spent mornings and evenings attending prayers in the samadhi hall and keerthanas. We meditated for long time in samadhi hall, old hall and new hall. Visited bookstore, library, goshala and samadhis of animals and disciples of Maharshi. We also did Girivaalam, Skandasramam trek and visited Annamalai temple. It took us 2-3 weeks to adjust to city life after coming back. Overall it was a wonderful experience. One to remember for a life time.

It's generally safe for sole female traveller. It's a spiritual town with peaceful atmosphere.

I saw many single woman (foreigners) in the Ashram during my stay. It's generally safe. But I don't know what kind of accomodation they provide for single females.

We can stay one day also madam, not compulsory. But it is a good experience to stay for 3 days there

It's free accomodation but only for 3 days. After your stay you can request for free accomodation only after 6 months again.

Sorry Sir, I don't understand tamil. I translated your comment to english. There maybe some ashrams which allow to stay for nominal fee. You can stay in Arunachalam and do meditation and self-enquiry. If you like the experience you can continue stay for long time.
