The Karmas are three types: 1. Sanchita Karma: The result of actions performed in previous births which are in seed form. (Accumulated Karma). With wisdom Sanchita Karma seeds can be roasted so that they cannot sprout. 2. Prarabdha Karma: Accumulated karmas will eventually fructify at different times and places and will cause certain events and experiences to occur. (Experiential Karma). By experiencing Prarabdha karma can be exhausted. 3. Agami Karma: The actions we do in present life with a sense of doership and ego and will then deposit in to the future. (Deposited Karma). By performing actions without any attachment and expectations of fruits of action Agami Karma can be eliminated.

Beautiful story which explains Karma.-. A father who was thoroughly disturbed by the bad behaviour of his spoilt son wanted to teach his son lesson . In the big living room of his house there was a big photo of the son and Father hit several nails on the photo. Son was very much hurt seeing this and father told his son that he would remove each nail when the son showed improvement. Gradually,son started reforming himself and father removed all the nails .Son felt happy but he was still hurt seeing the holes formed on his photo. Father explained that they were the impressions of his bad karmas and the son had to suffer and there was no escape from it.

What a beautiful talk. I love Gurudev even though I have a different practice. I can tell he is speaking truth at a very deep level. I laughed along with the crowd during this talk and I could feel their delight and awakening with each new revelation. Great questions from everyone which helped bring out the nuances of the issue of Karma. I have had much prior learning mostly from Buddhist and Taoist perspectives. I felt I could have given some of the answers from past training which is very reassuring to me that the meaning of Karma is consistent among different disciplines. Gurudev has a very gentle and enjoyable style and combined with complete knowledge of the subject matter makes for a very enlightening and enjoyable class. Gurudev has clearly defined karma and it's impact and various types of karma like prarabdha karma etc. Good actions surely lead to happiness. That is also karma viz., a good karma. If a person commits a crime and escapes punishment doesn't mean he is free from bad karma. He will face the music in his next birth.

Karma is of three types. 1. Pralbdh - or destiny with which we are born. Like who will be our parents, where we will be born etc 2. Kriyemaan - what actions we are performing right now. 3. Sinchit Karma - it is the reservoir of our Karmas which have not been used for our current life. We create so much Karma that when we are reborn all cannot be used. What is left is stored. This Karma results in our attitude.... For example anger. Some people are more angry than others. Some are more lustful than others. Sinchit Karma just sits in the reservoir, but influences our attitude. Thinking about something and not acting out out also creates a Karma. Acting it out creates more a Karma. We create so much Karma that we can't pay off this Karma in one life. Hence multiple lives. I used to think what kind of a super computer must be existing that when we have to handle Karma with other people, they all come together. Bringing them together must be quite a task. On the contrary, it is not like that at all. The truth is we are in a dream in which we are creating people and events with whom we have had previous encounters. The people we are creating are part of the dream. They are not real. We go to sleep, we see so many people. We wake up and realise that it was a dream and some people that we saw in the dream, we don't even know them. Some people we know. But upon we wake up, we know it was not real. Same way, when we die, the first thing we realise is that it was a dream. Spouse, kids, property... Nothing was real. But the experience was real. Karma is a mental process. Beyond the mind, it does not exist . Only human beings create Karma. Animals or plants or any other living being does not. The reason is that Karma gets created when we think and decide and take action. We are doing it all the time. Animals act on instinct. They don't think if I eat meat is it right or wrong. They will eat it based on instinct. A honey bee makes a honey comb with perfect measurements. No mental process. It's in their DNA. It translates into instinct and they act on it. All living beings except human beings. Definition of human beings - who think and act. The earliest human beings were Dynasors. Some types of Dynasors were able to think and we're vegetarian. In current times we are humans. What can we do so that we don't create Karma? Act instinctively! If God has given us a spade, he has expressed his will to dig. So Dig. If God has given us a Pen, he has expressed his will to write. So write. No Karna! But for this, we need our spiritual will to be stronger than mental will. Currently, it is the opposite and therefore we take all decisions based on Mind, logic, and calculations. It can sometimes be right and sometimes be wrong. If spiritual will is developed, we take action based on it and we don't go wrong. While we live our life as Pralabdh and create new Karma by doing actions in this life (kriyemaan Karma), the problem is we cannot erase Sinchit Karma. And therefore we keep taking birth again and again. It's a vicious cycle. We are trapped. There are some rare Masters who come into this world. Very few of them. But at least one is always present. That Master finds us if we have the seeking to go back and are fed up of transmigration of 8.4 million species. This Master cancels our Sinchit Karma. Immediately, we notice a change in our attitude. If we don't, others do. This Master helps in handling and dealing with the Pralabdh Karma. The perfect living Master is with us after he initiates us. He guides us so that we don't create too much Kriyemaan Karma. And at death come to take us. With Sinchit of the way and little bit of kriyemaan, he may give us a new birth. But in better circumstances. And no more than 4 lives. Usually it is one life only. All Karma is taken care of and we become the source. To see God, you have to be God. Soul is an illusion. We are ONE. We are God, without the awareness

The prarabdha karma is what derermines my current life, my parents, my place of birth, my inborn qualities. So, the fact that I am here and alive means I had prarabdha karma from the past. And, as Sri Sri says, prarabdha karma must be lived out, cannot be nullified by spiritual practise or guru kripa. However, spiritual life certainly has a mitigating effect.

My friend Regina Bönsel wrote a book for you and spread your meditation teachings. she fell ill and suffered from her conjunctivitis of both eyes. Then she withdrew from the outside world to achieve healing. It was a very difficult time, because she could not read, write, teach and work.
