This is the kind of stuff I want to do on my motorcycle when I get one. Travel around the back country roads, take in the beautiful scenery and not have to worry so much about other vehicles taking up the road space. That sounds like a dream come true.

I bought a similar 2005 Suzuki C50T a few years ago as a starter bike for me getting back into riding after many years off. What a great bike, but that stock seat has to go, The best mod I did was a Mustang seat. It is so comfortable now that I really dont want to get rid of it. I have Cobra pipes too....great sound

Hey Doug, I am a big fan of you and your channel. Thoroughly enjoy all your videos. I was kind of sad to see you part ways with your C50T :( I am sure you’re enjoying your Heritage classic too. You’re an inspiration to youngsters like us.

Really liked your video. I bought the exact same 2012 C50T (all stock) same paint-scape in Feb of this year with only 4,000 miles, from a HD dealer in Tampa FL. I have really enjoying it after getting back into riding again after many years without one. Get a lot of comments about the bike when I am out on it.

@jeffruebens8355

I like a little smaller windshield to keep some wind and rain off my chest and neck- this one could be cut down smaller to more easily look over it. The sportbikes have a small fairing and windscreen for less wind resistance, especially if you hunch down so your helmet is lower. We have some Amish people nearby- some use more technology such as steel bicycles and generators, some are more like the 1700s founding fathers. Visiting Mount Vernon in Virginia is interesting. The Amish are known for high quality carpentry, but not cheap. They help their other Amish families for free. I can guess what they think of Trumpybears made someplace like China .

Love the color scheme as well. I own a 2009 C50 black and wish it was a better color at times. Otherwise dead reliable, liquid cooled, shaft drive, fuel injected runs on regular unleaded and has fuel gage, gear indicator and clock on instrument cluster. Other than a tack what do you need?

Just by chance I checked the video out because I just picked up one of these c50ts I like it a lot used to have one when they first came out but they were called volusia's. I live in Maine went down to Lancaster Pennsylvania back in 1992 for a HOG Harley rally/Harley's owners group. I had purchased myself a Harley-Davidson that year it was a mistake only had it for a year that thing was giving me trouble every month and the first month of owning it I had to send it back to get the engine replaced the block was starting to fall lake apart like clay had something to do with the casting they screwed it up they were quite a few of them that happened to. I should have took Harley-Davidson to court and got my money back that thing had so many problems. It was a 1992 1340 lowrider worse purchase I ever made. I have owned just about every bike in between since. Hondas, suzuki's, yamahas, Triumph Bonneville, Royal Enfield, Can-Am Spider well I guess that's not a motorcycle three wheels LOL. 2 months ago traded in my triumph Bonneville in for the 2022 Suzuki Boulevard C50T and I like it very much fuel injected the Suzuki Volusia was carbureted. Big difference in handling as you can see by my profile photo I'm sitting on it it's pearl white really like to paint in the Sun. Some friends of mine wondering what I'm going to change the exhaust to something louder I told him no thank you I just put a sound system on it I want to be able to hear it LOL it's staying stock. The only thing I've changed on it is the air filter put a k&n filter on it. Did cut the windshield down 4 in I don't like tall windshields. 😊. Thank you for posting the video I enjoyed it brought back some memories good ones it was a fun rally despite the fact that the bike wasn't the greatest LOL

5 speed transmission. I own one and it needs another gear. At 60 -mph it sounds like it wants to shift to 6th. Other than that, a nice, nimble motorcycle.

I have the 07' model. no windshield and stock pipes, but I did de-baffle the outer baffle on the stock pipes so now it has a nice deep purr. I might eventually get some cobra pipes once I have a little bit more money saved. still a great bike for an older model though. It has over 50k miles on it now and cold starts are pretty rough for a fuel injected bike, but once it's warmed up that beast will run! The only issue I have had with it over the 5+ years of owning it was the cam chain tensioners went out at about 30k miles which was way too early for those things to break. Luckily there was a good honest local bike shop in town that I didn't have to spend a fortune on the repairs for. It still costed about 1200 or so to replace the tensioners, but it would have been much cheaper if the bike's design didn't make it a royal pain in the #@@ to access them. However they did also replace the spark plugs and head gaskets while they were at it. The manager of the shop said the old tensioners probably went out so soon because they were most likely just a bad design, and the aftermarket parts they replaced them with should last longer. I doubt they'll go out again by 60k miles, but we'll see. I'm hoping to make it to 100k miles with this bike, unless I sell it before then. lol

I have never rode a bike ever. But, that's about to change. I'm currently looking at Suzuki Boulevard CT50 with 500 miles only, he is asking for $5k. Being new to this, does the price sound right? How do I know if the bike been in an accident before? Is there like a VIN to see its history? The owner had its post almost a year ago and no one purchase it yet? Is that a concern? Looking for a solid advice please. Thanks

I own the Intruder flavor of it, namely VL800 Classic, which has the same engine, and basically is the same bike (Intruder being for Japanese/European market and Boulevard for USA). Gotta say this one's a great choice as the 1st bike. If I knew it, I'd never have bought my first XVS400 )) More than that: I have Suzuki for 2 years now (scored 20000+ km) and I don't have any intentions to trade it for anything bigger/faster... It really turned out to be THE THING for me )) The price of $5k sounds pretty reasonable even for my region. I guess for the USA it's OK as well. Find a good moto-mechanic or at least a guy with some experience to check the bike before buying. On Suzuki C50/VL800 some parts are hard to access (like sparks, for example - you have to take the fuel tank off to check them). And yes, of course, as far as the Boulevards are concerned the must be the VIN number to check the bike's history.

Not sure if you ended up getting one now that's it's three months later, but I highly recommend going to your local dealer and sitting on both models. I really like the look of both, but I find the C50 better for me, as a feel more comfortable on them with a higher and wider seat.

What is the difference between the C50 and the C50T? Is it just a trim package option? I've been looking at used bikes on kijiji (think craigs list, but canadian, not sure if they've got it in the US) and I keep seeing bikes that -look- the same as this, with similar trim packages, but then I see others that are marked "C50T" that have different trim packages. I'm guessing the "T" designation is for touring and effects the cost?
@Scottrose3
@Scottrose3 7 жыл бұрын
I compared 'em side by side on Suzuki's website. the T must mean Touring. The bike itself spec wise is the same. The only differences I noticed were the trim packages etc. The T comes w/ the bags and different seats and windshield. That's about it.

I just got a 2008 c50, sounds and runs great, only 5300 miles, but happens that this is my first bike ever. The only thing I noticed is a CLICK sound when I shift gear either up or down. I think it comes from the rear tire (not 100% sure), is this normal? Should shifting gears be soundless? Or is it normal a certain level of noise?
