He was a senior in my college. Many of the student knew him, he was very social and although I never spoke to him personally. Many of my friends knew him. When we got to know that he died due to suicide, many of the people associated with him came in front to tell the truth about how he was feeling lately and they even told the police and media about the things he told them. And that girl is from our college too, I saw her couple of times but we never spoke to each other. When I got to know that she is the reason why he committed suicide. Believe me we were so shocked, because who would have thought that a person studying in the same college as we do, has done such things which lead to a person to take his own life. It was a very heartbreaking and shocking news for everyone of us.

The sentence "men don't cry" may seem macho and badass but that one line can and does condition boys to have a hard exterior that seems like nothing can faze them but it does affect them. I know I can go to my parents for any help but I tend to take care of stuff alone and without anyone's help and what could've been solved in just a few days ends up taking weeks to solve because I've been conditioned like that from the moment I can remember. I was in the exact same situation as Gaurav about a year ago . I was fed up from receiving phone calls from total strangers threatening me. The mental pressure was too much , it got multiplied because I was living far from home and I did not have anyone to share what I was going through . Often cried myself to sleep. Thoughts of the unthinkable crossed my mind several times and sometimes felt that it was the only way to escape from all that mental torture. The only reason I'm here today is because that day when I was about to off myself I thought " If I do this I'd make mum sad . I'd ruin my only sibling's mental state. deep down I just dint want others to be hurt from my actions" (funny stuff right?). It was very tough to move on from that . On a side note,(not related to this case): It's time for Indian parents to normalise talking about their kids GF or BF. You will realise why they forbid when you become a parent yourself. We all know how hurtful breakups are for mental health as well as physical health. This case is also the classic example of love failure. Which is the reason parents keep a strict watch on us during career building years because who would want their children to get involved in this and destroy their life. I never shared this story honestly but I have a friend (who is no more in this world), he dated a girl for more than 6 years but after a while because of me he found out that she is cheating on him. When he confronted she manipulated and tried to convince him to be with her and he agreed because he really loved her. I warned him and his mom about the same because I wasn't feeling great by looking at him. But he and his mom ignored and they continued the relationship. Not that I am disagreeing to the fact that there are rapes and murders happening every single day but it’s not a competition. But yes rapes and murder mainly sab culprit ke against hote hai everyone wants the victim to get justice. But Aise cases(like the ones mentioned in the video)mai people always support women, people are not ready to consider man to be a victim and woman to be a culprit , unko bharosa hi nhi hota ki ladki bhi galat hoskti hai. It’s almost impossible for a man to win a case against fake allegations.
