Why can’t Brian May do more stuff like this rather than simply being a Queen tribute act? This is off the scale! 🤘🏻

Queen tribute act.. stupid comment! Bri & Rog wriote many of the songs they take on tour.. you wanna live in the past that’s your choice, no need to slag off 2 legends who still bring their amazing music to the masses!
@sandykemp75623 жыл бұрын
@@pyt7778 obviously you haven’t heard of the right for people to have their own opinion on matters then. Just because my opinion differs from yours does not make it stupid. I’m quite well aware that Brian May and Roger Taylor wrote a great deal of material for Queen. John Deacon also wrote a great deal of material as well. I’m just not a fan of the whole “touring under a band name when only one or two of the original members are left” regardless of the band or who the members are. I’d even be the same if Paul McCartney and Ringo started touring as “The Beatles” again. What I’m saying is that Brian May is such an amazing musician and I feel he still has the potential to give the world new material that would rock your socks off. Instead he’s chosen to simply go about playing a greatest hits type medley of songs we’ve all heard before a million times. Yes they’re damn good songs. Yes I grew up listening to Queen and I even loved Brian’s solo material, Back to the Light and Another World were excellent. However I’d love to see Brian unleash some new material on the world. Vai and Satriani (along with almost any “shredder” we could name) site Brian May as an inspiration to them and I can’t argue with that. He’s an amazing guitarist. I just want to hear what else he can do and what new inspirations he can bring.

I remember watching this on TV.Although Brian has a unique sound he was technically out done here by better guitarists.Even so he didn't let rip like I thought he would he's by no means a bad guitarist.He can make the guitar scream like anybody but just lacks a bit of speed Compared to other guitarists.I know speed isn't everything and Brian plays the guitar beautiful but he looked pedestrian on this occasion.

I have many of his albums too, BUT... Did any of these guys really break out and really play at all...? Uh, no... What makes this all the more eerie is the fact this was recorded exactly 1 month before Freddie Mercury died in October 1991 and in the same month in which Queens greatest hits/flix2 was released. I can see how Brian wanted to continue with life as normal but the timing seems very off for me. It just seems a tad disrespectful. Poor Freddie on his death bed, unable to walk, blind, all skin and bone and entering the end stages of his life and here we have Brian on stage jamming away. Perhaps he was in denial.

Werner Van der Walt yeah and as you can see Brian looks and sounds tense here. I think he may have been in so much denial about Freddie that he even believed that a miracle cure was on the horizon and Queen would tour again with the orginal line up.
