"SRT-8" is Fast

Charger SRT-8 6.1L V8 Hemi runs from police in a routine pullover. It wasn't long before that 6.1L SRT-8 was out of sight for the police pursuit! Everyone realize you can build a hellcat or demon out of the older chargers and dont want to pay 300 grand for a demon. Some forged internals in the 6.1 a turbo 400 automatic a ford 9 inch rear and decent suspension and decent break upgrade and you got a hellcat/demon🤷 depends on the route you go with supercharger or turbo. Personally I would choose centrifugal supercharger so i could run a decent front mount intercooler and still have the whining sound😃 provided you got car and can do most of the work 20-30 grand could build you an 8 second charger or challenger🤷

Ive outrun two state troopers in chargers in a stock manual transmission in 03 k24 4 cylinder accord with over 390,000miles on it on curvy roads where I might top 100mph😆🤣 those heavy cars can't eat the curve like a lighter car with almost same width tires🤷 I seen chase videos where suspect car pulls on cops in high speed turn but cop catches on straight. Just make sure you got about 5 miles of curvy road to disappear on😁

That’s my understanding as well, I had seen the original video a couple weeks ago. The driver didn’t get away, he went away. This reminds me of a couple of pursuits a few months ago. That’s when I learned that there is actually something dumber than running from the police.....which is running from the police without your seatbelts on. Tragic consequences.

It seemed as if the pursuit car had a 5.7L I've seen that take off to catch a vehicle before & at that time I'm like man the take off slow 😂 now that I have a A10 2020 Camaro it seems even slower but I learned my lesson from trying to run from the cops at the time I had a tuned A4 Audi the initial cop couldn't catch me but the radio did great work lol. And also mine i had it up to 165mph. All stock with just exhaust and cold air i built that only took air in down lown in the valance. No hot air from engine could get into system at all. It ran like i said a 12.8 at 110mph in 1/4mi at te track. Loved thst car.

Do what think about older Maserati cars Ferrari 4 .7 V8 engine, since Dodge and Chrysler still owns Ferrari and Maserati, Maserati discontinued 4.7 V8 engine, for the same 3.0 Hurricane I6 since 2020 , Maserati uses the technology as Dodge and Chrysler, my uncle passed away, gave four Door sedan Maserati two of them, I'm considering building SRT8 6.4 392 Hemi or regular Scat Pack 6.4 stock into building 1320 Scat Pack pro charger twin turbo for my two Maserati cars.

My 06 SRT8 was fast as fk I had it up to 165mph and it ran 12.8 @ 110mph in the 1/4mi. I miss it so bad I paid cash for it and also a RT in 2006 and wish I kept them both. For both back in 06 it came out to around 86000$ cash and now just 1 cost that. Lol.

SRT-8 is no joke. Mine is a forged bottom end with stock heads and cam. Running low boost setting of 9psi and it's putting out 690hp / 732 tq. More torque than the hellcat.

⁠@@RTLife I’m gonna guess an ex police 5.7 AWD with cams and E85 possibly running a small turbo or supercharger and disguised as a normal civilian car. If a police charger has 370 hp I’d say he’s at least 80-120 up with a lighter body and better brakes/tire/suspension plus skills. Might visit circuits in the day time with a different car. Possibly gutted interior as well. There’s obviously something slightly different about it as the ASP always recognise it. Is it possible he’s running a shorter diff for more acceleration? It’s not all about power. A lot of MOPARs crash because the idiot drivers were burning out their tires for clout shortly before being pursued. And they never had any real skill to handle the power. Then whey wonder why they fail to escape when they’re trying to run on bald tires. *edit* I believe whatever the undefeated charger is running he tuned the car for balance rather than raw power. The asp cars sound heavy and laboured. Surely even with a little modified ex police car the enormous weight difference (assuming a gutted interior) could make it easy to put bus lengths on the pursuing officers

Look in the lower right hand corner of the dashcam. The ASP stands for Arkansas State Police. The top center usually gives the date, time, longitude & latitude.
