I’m probably a lower intermediate level guitar player but I’m a huge Hendrix nerd and your channel’s gotten me obsessed with SRV. You’re an inspiration for me to get better! Thanks for the great videos.

Do you have any advice for not hitting the high e string on the BG double string hits?
@theriffwniksevigny54732 жыл бұрын
I hit it all the time. Haha. But. Try resting your picking hand at first, maybe against the trem, to get a feel for the picking position

Hey brother. Do you have any idea about his pickup height? I've heard it has alot to do with no matter how much gain fuzz or w.e he used the tone always remained clear and glassy. (Besides his just outrageously accurate playability) is it true he kept the pickup height very low to the body and kept the action high?

Great tone and tip! I noticed your pickup heights are fairly raised. I found out that the lowering the pickup heights gave little bit more sustain. Any opinion on it?
@theriffwniksevigny54732 жыл бұрын
Higher action And i dont really use much except a fuzz and wah
@JimmyLeeMusic2 жыл бұрын
I forgot you had the higher action. Thank you for the advice.
@darrenc87762 жыл бұрын
Heard that if your pickup is set high closer to the strings the pickup magnetic field stop the string oscillating as freely than if the pickup was lower. The string oscillate in a figure of 8 motion an need a fair bit of room in order to sustain. Higher action also helps sustain as your strings clear the frets better.
