Utsumi references the Ultra Series BY NAME in the anime, repeatedly. Basically, Akane (who's from our world) made the pocket world Gridman takes place in as a replica of her own. As a result, pieces of fiction that don't exist in the SRWverse due to being real can still exist in Akane's reality.
