The image I get from this song... It just seems like it would play if you were in the middle of an almost-empty city that's being bombarded by an alien attack, with a red sky in the background. Except that you're one of the ones who chose to stay behind and fight the aliens while the civilians escape, adding an element of hopeful asskicking to a scene that would otherwise be full of despair. In a giant robot, of course.

Why would major Kai, the one with the manliest 'stache in any mecha show, dislike that one of the soldiers that worked with him, and who has trained with him, learned and used one of his moves to defeat an enemy? Kai is too much of a father to their men to do that!

I don't think axel almer disliked the video they resolved their fight already and became rivals/frenemy THE DISLIKER IS CAPTAIN KAI! because Kyosuke copied his gespent kick and renamed it to ultimate gespent kick and made a crappy themesong that he can't make rofl
