@@GlennMillers-qo7zh I love you, now I remember how happy I was in 2021. I Knew everything about ships. But I forgot, sadly.

Wow I wish we could have seen it while there was more if it there at the beach. We made our video because we didn't see yours when we hunted for information about the ship. The main reason we published it was so that other people could see that there is part of it left:) You have a great channel with so much information about the ship!

She was built for the United States Lines operating out of New York City to South Hampton England. Thank God we still have the SS United States With us docked at pier 82 in Philadelphia PA.

@@matthewcox6615 but what happened to the two remaining lifeboats because they just mysteriously disappeared in 1995 and they couldn’t have rotted away at the time so did the locals remove them or something?
@matthewcox66153 жыл бұрын
@@randomuser9883 I believe they were removed by the locals. In the German documentary one of them is shown in someone’s yard.
@OneDonTadeo6 ай бұрын
@@matthewcox6615 right after the total loss of the vessel, locals went inside and search for everything that can be sold. They got on board by metal ladder, tear every value equipment and decorations, then sold them on a phlea market to spoiled tourists. What remains of this magnificent ship is only pieces scatered around the world and plenty of old photographs. Thats how bussiness works.

It is a sin that it met this fate. We should never abuse a living piece of history like this.
