SS BREWTECH 20 GALLON SYSTEM

The two sight glasses are there to indicate if you're about to get a stuck mash. One tube is above the false bottom, and the other below it. If the liquid level in both tubes is even then the pressure is the same (obviously), if the two levels are are uneven, you are drawing too much suction. Check to see if both sight glass holes are drilled all the way threw. I had two separate mash tuns that were screwed up.

At my brewery to support long tank hookups we’ve fabbed up some “Y” shaped metal rod with an adjustable bottom. Does the same thing you’ve done but also allows us to support hoses and other connections. Keep on it, mate.

Lovely bit of kit, got that same but with 30 gal hlt and bk, just check the volumes on the mash tun mine are way out.

Hi Chris, yes, was watching. Many thanks for the kind words. Have got some new kit due in the next few weeks, such as new Hygienic Butterfly Valves with multi position S/S Levers that can be padlocked in place and a Pump Protection Strainer for me to look at. It's 1.5" Clamp Ended with a 1000 Micron Element. I have had to buy it to look at. Will let you know if I think it's any good. Keep up the good work buddy. Cheers, Andy.

Brings back memories of when I first got my kit off you back in the day. That looks a stonking kit m8,I figured about £1200stg by time it's all fitted out, expensive but an investment in your case. I'm guessing next MM purchase will be a couple of pumps like Tom's or have you that sorted already?(can't remember). P.S. Could you eliminate the pipe work between the sight glass and elbow? Might sturdy up the setup. Given, you have room to still use the knob on diaphragm without being in way of leg braces.

I'm a little confused, it's easy done 🤣 . I was assuming that this was the first of the brewery pilot vids but it doesn't mention why you are building a 20 gallon brewery system. I got behind on the vids and really don't have 20 to 30 minutes a day extra to try and catch up so the question would be "why build a 20 gallon brewing system when you already have a full blown brewing system in place?
