Still remember the first 2 TV serials he directed in 1999 Shanti Nivasam and manoyagnam. Both different concepts and never laggy as opposed to other TV serials. Our family used to wait for each episode. And then came his first film Student no.1. His evolution is so inspiring. He kept experimenting, skilling up and evolving in each movie over the years. Definitely an inspiration whether you like his work or not. His vision and ability to maintain the same passion is simply amazing. Wish I had that kind of passion.

It was said in jest, but I did find the movie to be overly long and devoid of humor which is this directors signature. I particularly didn't care for the main lead. Not charismatic enough to carry an epic,and Tamnhaa as pretty as she is added no heft to her part. I think this director's Youngyuma ( I think ) with NTR Jr or the other one with Ravi Teja, remade wth Akshay Kumar were much better and more entertaining fares. But hey,to each his own. I would love to see an in depth interview with Rajni or Kamal Hassan. Thanks

@@delona6485 Yea I get you bro, the movie does get pretty long and does have a lack of humour, but it's meant to be an epic. Rajmouli's storytelling is more serious without all those side gimmicks and jokes you find in commercial movies, which is what separates him from others.
