SS14 - Ninja Abilities Explained

Something not mentioned in this video (Because I know people will be confused/ will not have watched the other ninja video) is that ninja is a ghost role. And they don't spawn until some time passes at least. Fairly rare role overall.

A fun thing I found, sometimes you can actually drop or throw your katana at people, and it won’t so any damage or anything, but most of the time they’ll stop to pick it up so you can recall it back into your hands for an easier escape. Thank you for the guide Mr. Labelhead!

Once as a clown I managed to steal the ninjas katana and hold it for like 1.5 seconds! I see that as an absolute clown win!

the ninja teleport cannot go through consoles, so teleporting through bridge requires you teleport over the tables instead

I respect how they tried to balance the ninja but I’m unsure how well the cloak works, so I’m curious how well it helps in practice- the lack of night vision is also interesting (and reasonable if ya get flash protection)

The night vision is out cause it’s not implemented at all mice don’t have it and every thing that should have it doesn’t it’s just not added yet

Played ninja for the first time, didn’t know the gloves stunned people, hacked three doors to get in. Forgot I had tools, walked infront of eng with one borg, punched pun and four engs and one sec.. every person ran, pun pun almost killed me.. ran away invis after killing pun pun found hop with no id(what?????) kill hop, the whole security team pull up with lasers and guns. Attempt to run into space but fail and die. Overall 10/10 gameplay (also was shit on in ghost for not using glove stun)

Beer goggles are great, I stole some one round as passenger and managed to kill a spider in darkness in maints with the help of the thirst icon

Ss14 doesn't have night vision. That's what I hate. If you like any antag that spawned in tech corridors you will just walk here in blind. Like, carps, spiders, slimes, even mouses and space dragons - no matter wat, you can't use flashlight so in station u will be in much worse situation than crew that can just disable light and hide in shadows better than any ninja or syndi in stealth box. Problems of visibility is actually very questioning thing if u ask me. Like, devs made stealth devices like ninja suit or invis box so easy to spot because of this stupid visual effects, and at the same time crew can just turn off light and now space dragons crying like a baby in corner trying to understand where he is.

@@Liltenhead it might have changed, but when I was messing around on a local server when they came out it mentioned it on the item inspect, it may have changed though as that was a while ago. 🙂
