as a sec main i did not know flashs make you drop stuff good to know I all way put them in my locker

Only if you melee attack them with a flash, it will stun the person for about 0.5 seconds, not enough for cuffing but good to get them to drop something.

@@SuperDicq there was a bug that could make you slip with CE's magboots if you disconnect from server, once you slip you immediately get up, but for others it may look like you just laying on ground

man I tried to play SH13 years ago in goonstation and after some success in botanist and janitor, I tried geneticist and I got yelled at by everyone when the round was over in OOC chat because everyone wanted me to turn them into superman but I only managed to give them lame powers. During the round some guy tried to kick me out of the genetics room and take over my job even lol. These vids make me wanna try SH14 but are the people in there "hardcore gamers" too?

I don't think there's a lot of toxicity in SS14, probably depends on server tho.

@@SuperDicq well I set up a private server and fooled around with shuttles and xenos a bit. seemed easier to get into. I guess I'll learn the roles in my private server and then try out some servers. that's the problem with complex multiplayer games. hard to learn a game when you are getting heckled and called a f*cking idiot when you are in the middle of trying stuff.

@@aca347 Yeah I also think the game should probably come with a sandbox or at least tutorial in the client. Requiring players to set up a private server or something just to try stuff before actually joining an actual game with human beings can be kind of intimidating. If you want a new player experience you can try playing on the "Grasshopper" server. It is a server intended for new players. The only players who are able to join this server is anyone with

@@nonagon9192 yeah I tried it and it was pretty chill. SS14 is probably better than 13 in that regard since the powergamers will prefer 13. I don’t mind shittalk it’s just annoying when it’s ooc shittalk or someone trying to steal your id when they realize you are a newb.

just remember, engineering can disable apc's remotely from their department via a certain console. is sec is no fun, just take away there power. like literally turn it of in any room remotely sec related. if others use that to break in because doors are unpowered, that is a entirely other sec problem. and if sec wants to be smart by moving charges into non sec powered rooms, make it crystal clear as a department that any room sec defiles. it an attempt to recharge there gear, it also gets depowered.

All of my other videos have music in them. I just didn't put in this one because it from a recorded stream and I'm talking. However in the final edit I don't even talk that much I notice now...
