Another great chemical to learn sigynate. amazing for caustic damage since derma doesnt heal that type of burn, and a good chemical to get into learning the more complicated chemistry.

Don't get confused by this, it will not mix on it's own, you have to put all ingredients into a beaker and heat it up on a hotplate before it mixes, it does not say this in the guidbook

You're too young to know it but Bicaridine was wildly used since 2300s as a replacement for Metorapan to numb the nerve endings, thus preventing the nerve damage from overstimulation of severe pain. It blocks pain without loosing consciousness. Nowadays it's used for every level of pain because of how safe and effective it was proven to be. In the alternative universe Terrans were secretly using it to mitigate consequences of being punished with agonizers. I recently rewatched Star Trek series(es) and unfortunately found it mostly disengaging with its outdated way of acting and dialogues. However, and not many people know this, I enjoyed that each and every drug used in the script had its name and effects described in detail, therefore there was never a single case of accidental mismedication (not counting the one episode where it was part of the plot).

It's also worth noting that extra iron can be acquired by grinding steel sheets in the grinder and using the chemmaster to sift out the other chemicals like carbon.

Things to know: 1) Dexalin Plus (also normal Dexalin) do not recover blood, they just heal the bloodloss damage from someone. If they are still pale they will take bloodloss damage due to the lack of blood so its needed saline/iron if alive or dead bloodpacks. 2) Leporazine beside healing cold damage it also regulates the internal temperature of someone to a safe level, good for bad cases of atmos messing up, a ice anomaly cooling down the station or plasmafloods (you will keep taking heat damage and pressure but less so) or after using the cryo pods. 3) Ipecac has the highest chance to make someone vomit, useful in cases of overdose/poison so you can quickly purge all chemicals and stabilize after. 4) Personal recommendation: Mix dermaline and kelotane in a 1 to 1 ratio in a jug, that way you prevent the overdose damage, in most cases an overdose of 5 dermaline over ain't gonna kill somebody but its just a bit safer for those new doctors or medical interns. Its also more convinient due that once a syringe if fully filled it auto switch to injecting mode.

Its useful to combine chems together. Bicaridine + Tricordrazine Demaline + Kelotane Dylovene + Siderlac Etc. Combine chems that heal the same damage so it boosts the overall healing to that damage. Inaprovaline is also useful for crit patients. Inaprov + epi or dex(+) + inaprov is a good mix.

I know this is a late reply, but IMO inaprov + dex is a bad combination. Most people have more than just airloss damage on them, and having 2 anti-airloss meds in the system means the drugs for other damage types won't get metabolized. Most races can only metabolize 2 bloodstream chems at the same time.

I would say that tranexamic is also very important, especially on more chaotic servers (looks kind of dirty pink) for stopping bleeding. And also, avoid hyro, phalaix at all cost, since vomiting has been a HUGE problem, at least in my experience, ever since starving was updated

You don't really bleed long anymore by the time you get to med you're done bleeding and need blood instead. It's only good if you're popping it as soon as you get hurt

@@Liltenhead on top of that, its becoming more and more known that hitting yourself with a welder or a few times with a lighter will immediately close all bleeding wounds, 5 heat damage in exchange for keeping all your blood is a fairly easy choice, and faster then any syringe of transacid

I think it could be worth to mention epipens here. You can also make epinephryne (spelling might be way off), but everyone starts the game with an epipen. If someone's in crit, regardless of the damage, an epipen is nearly always a good way to slow down their death - in some cases if you're quick you can even get them up so they can tell you what happened/get themselves to med. Crafting it is awkward, but you've always got your starting one (until you use it).

I see some advanced chemists who make a mix of kelotane and dermaline in pill form, 10/10 of each, which heals more burn damage more effectively.

When there is 3 chemicals for the recipe, I do 30u for example silicon > potassium > nitrogen Then I get 90u of dylovene and I can make a jug of it really fast

Max you can have in your system is 250. And as soon as you take more than 50 damage it'd be pointless

You still get infected if you're bit and you're dead.
