Great! The best analog cab sim on the market. The same with the Series Le Lead, Clean and Crunch. This in live situation sounds amazing!
@RokDAWG1 Жыл бұрын
I do dig this a lot. I would definitely use this as a live setup with a small board. As far as the cab sim stuff, I would just use my Moore Radar and have whatever cabs I wanna use pre-loaded in there.

Small and easy solution!

The speaker sim also is engaged when you use the headphone, they market the thing as full analog, that's why they did not include IR's imho.

Just got mine few days ago and I really dig it... In comparison, I have a Simplifier DLX, a Tech 21 PSA 2.0 and an Effectrode Blackbird Tube Preamp. All of them being analog solutions, I'd say only the Blackbird beats it in terms of tone, warmth and feel but the Revolt is much more versatile and have 3 distinct channels. As for on board analog cab sim, it's not bad but same as for the PSA 2.0, it doesn't quite cut through the mix. It sounds sterile so I prefer it through my Cab M. Kudos to Two Notes for such a good product...

I will buy this one for my little board. So i can use it standalone, but also as a stereo rig: head with cab and mic + the cab out sim from this device. That will work and sound huge right?

Since this is a preamp at least what I understand you still need a power amp pedal to powers up a passive cab if you wish to use one
@SteveSterlacci Жыл бұрын
yes
@grayson84111 Жыл бұрын
This is designed to be a preamp. So yes, you would need a power amp. That being said, the intended market for this is to be used direct into a PA system or computer.

I think i can put mini wah, HOF & super chorus on a pedal board with this and its already a full rig
@SteveSterlacci Жыл бұрын
That'd be a killer option!!!

This solves my only gripe with my HX stomp by having a balanced out, although I was hoping that being a Two Notes product it would have an IR loader, that being said, Its hard to complaint with the tones you're getting here, I feel Two Notes know how to make good cab sims and there's not much in the market that can sound better. How do the amp models compare to Line 6?
@J.R_Guitar Жыл бұрын
Can you use it with Helix LT? And if so how to connect it? Thanx for help ✌🏻😀
@SteveSterlacci Жыл бұрын
I'd use this in an fx loop of a helix. Send 1 to input of the unit and output into return 1

Sounds amazing on the stereo with headphones on! Using tubes on my phono preamp, I know that it takes about 45 minutes to let these warm up for the warm crispy sound. I was just wondering isn't it the same with a guitar amp? Great review Steve! 😊😊
@mrnavarropablo Жыл бұрын
That's mostly the power tubes, the preamp tubes heat up pretty fast and their tone doesn't change much throughout.

Had this unit for a week and ended up returning it. Lead channel is the worst (really bad fuzzy sound), the boost is unusable on all channels. Not worth the money.
@SteveSterlacci Жыл бұрын
Sounds like you possibly could have had the cabs disabled. If you're using the 1/4 " out, the cab wont be on the amp. So it will for sure sound like buzzing sh*t 😅
@MichaelRiesenbeck Жыл бұрын
@@SteveSterlacci True, it's why I ALMOST send mine back, until I realized that. So just add any type of cab behind it (like an IR or cab loader or something) it sounds a million bucks

@RockG.o.d Жыл бұрын
@@SteveSterlacci it’s not the learning curve. It’s the options. I have all the pedals I want, and all the amps I need. Though would love a pedal which is the perfect Marshall plexi with maybe a jcm 800 or a hot rodded plexi. Well can’t blast the amps all the time.

Sounds great to me, the inbuilt cab sounded loads better than than using the IR's to me. Analog cab outs usually sound terrible. What guitar are you using?
