Check out the Gigrig gen x 14 for power. Also pedal patch cables. This should neaten the setup and give you clean power

Love the preset! I just got a stomp XL and was a little skeptical at first with messing around with it. Found this video, bought the present...wow...just wow. A world of difference. I'm using a tele and this preset and tele combo are amazing. Thank you for putting in the work to make all of this happen. I am grateful I came across your channel. Your videos convinced me an Hx Stomp XL would be all I would need to get great tone.

Already have a standard and a special. Thought about selling the special and picking up one of these but I can’t. Love the my standard 60’s in ocean blue and my tv yellow special. I’ll save up and pick up one of these probably.

If you'd get rid of the pickguard, and swap in some zebras for the covered pickups, you'd have a kick ass looking LP. Just sayin'.

So I work at guitar center. I haven't sold a gibson in like a year. Fender has officially won. And not only that but kids who come in don't even bother with the gibsons because they don't care about slash or classic rock dad music. Every time a gibson sells it's returned by the end of the week

Most of the basic overdrive, boost etc. pedals are pretty much endless clones of 70s and 80s designed pedals, with boutiques being there to add in different flavors. It makes absolutely sense that these pedals sound decent. It's usually the support and the quality of the switches and housing that you are giving up.

Hey Steve!!! Great layout and a fun looking board. Do you ever stack the Nordland Mostortion and the Nobels🤔 If so, could you please elaborate on the do’s and don’ts with these two pedals🤔. Thanks for sharing✌️
@SteveSterlacci
@SteveSterlacci 17 сағат бұрын
Of course they stack! Mos is a tighter harder sound so it sometimes it works to tame the low end of the nobels! They both have enough range on their own as well...

So if you were gonna go stereo direct to FOH (using the HX Stomp as your amp), what would you do with the output of the MXR reverb?
@SteveSterlacci
@SteveSterlacci 17 сағат бұрын
I'd either bypass it, or use it as a room reverb into the front end. Its just a different flavor
@erikhartley2494
@erikhartley2494 17 сағат бұрын
@ sorry I meant does the output go to the front of the Lex or another box?
@SteveSterlacci
@SteveSterlacci 17 сағат бұрын
@erikhartley2494 yeah if I'm just using the board traditionally, i can patch a cable right to the lex.

This website doesn't work for me. As soon as I realized that they were no longer updating the MX-5 after just 3 years I immediately returned my head rush flex prime. Why? Why would I update something that is just going to be outdated in 3 years time? Other units like neural DSP keep their things updated for far longer than 3 years.

You're gunna love the Black Mountain Volume Pedal. I've been using mine since they were released with my Fractal as an expression pedal. It's so much easier to use than any other expression pedal for levels. (I use a regular expression pedal for a wah).

It might be that after 20 years (damn, I'm old) of relying on digital floorboards I forgot the frustration of traditional pedalboards, but I got into building one myself and it's been a whole lot of fun; especially since I'm in writing mode with two bands and I view as my "painter's palette". But yeah, when I'll be gigging that monstrosity will stay at home and the Helix will take care of the show

Reverb in front of the amp is something that I have not tried. I am running from the effects out on my 5150 lll into my Helix. I have a cab sim and some stereo effects going into my power cab. I just use the volume on the Helix to adjust the effects mix. loving it.

"All of these units will sound as good or as bad as you can make them sound (programming)". 💯 So few people exhaust the tone shaping abilities of any of these modelers, even older models. True'er words never spoken! 👍

If you're not comfortable using nut files, or don't want to buy them, I saw a video on here a while back where the guy used a small knife blade with 1500 grit sandpaper wrapped around it and "massaged" the nut "B" string slot with it to clean out the slot. I tried it on my SG and it worked for me. If your guitar still won't stay in tune, probably better off getting luthier to look at it.

That's a mahogany top. Getting one with a maple top is luck of the draw even if you ask first the sellers seem vunerable to untruths. Maple is obvious, it's practically white and unless the guitar is a plain top by design it will also always have figured veneer. Mahogany tops aren't bad, they'll sound different to sensitive ears. Mostly the envelope of the note, the attack and decay. A touch more growl. I just got a maple top Fibson purely by luck, it was a good surprise. None of the horizontal sandwich layers between the pickups, solid maple! 🍁

I’ve had mine a few days now and I love it! It’s gorgeous to look at, comfortable to play (mine is 7lb 11oz), and sounds incredible. It did need the intonation set and I changed the strings because the stock ones had an annoying ring on the D string. Thanks for the volume tip when using the phase control. I never found it useful before but now I do. Gibson did a great job with both this one and the regular Studio. If these new Studios don’t please the Gibson haters, then nothing will. And in today’s economy they seem to be fairly priced for a quality American made product. 🇺🇸🎸
