Excellent video! As a former Starbucks Supervisor/Barista I can you're very much on track. Your esspresso looked a little light. If that's the way you perfer the strenght of your shot then cool :) . AND I also noticed you let your esspresso shots die. There's a very short period of to time that the shots are good for. Starbucks stresses this with all Baristas during training. there's a few videos on youtube that can show you what a proper pour of shots look like showing the heart, crema and body and how fast they are before the "shot dies". So you might have everything going for ya, litterly like we do at the store, but then are suprised that something tastes "off". It's probably the fact the shot died. I've had drinks returend beause they tasted off. Barista just got overwhelmed at the bar doing multiple drinks while shots were pouring and lost the timing. it happens to the best of us. But just wanted to say you've made a very good video and share an indsider's notes.

Great video and I like how you explain everything in detail. My only concern is that you only put enough coffee to pull one shot of espresso and you pulled 2 out of that one scoop. That's why your espresso looked light. You need about two scoops to pull 2 shots of espresso and the result should be darker in color and brown crema on top. I have an espresso machine I use almost daily. Other than that everything looked so good

I wish they offered that white chocolate syrup in a smaller size since the shelf life is so short. I just can't spend $50 on that when it's going to last only two months.

I know it's a hassle making everything from scratch, but I'd recommend making white chocolate sauce from scratch so you can make enough amount for you so you won't have to worry to waste some buying a huge gallon. Taste wayy better

I just made this but sugar free option. I used Jordan’s skinny syrup which is sugar free. White chocolate mocha. And all I could find was the Torani sugar free French vanilla syrup for the foam. And I made my own “espresso” seems I don’t have an expresso machine on hand. 5 heaping teaspoons of coffee of your choice to 1 cup of boiling hot water. Let it steep 1 minute and strain well. And I used 4 pumps of the Jordan’s sugar free white chocolate syrup. Tastes great! Thank you for the recipe!!

“Sugar free” isn’t necessarily better as it’s usually full of artificial sweeteners and more chemicals.

Just a tip, for each shot of espresso, you should yield about an ounce of liquid. That was hardly any grounds for a double shot. Use the bigger portafilter basket for a double, so roughly 2 ounces total.

I spent a lot of money trying to replica the white mocha from Starbucks best white mocha have to be Hollander for ice 🧊 and for hot monin idk why and milks I have to try that brand because I tried a lot too and Califa seem to the closest and the coffee I get Starbucks pike ground beans I also bought the Fontana twice and I think for some reason it taste good on ice 🧊 coffee but not the hot one for some reason idk if it has to do with the expresso machine but I have a breville

I love this & I have been cracking up watching it because I am just as bad as you are!! I also bought an espresso machine & that same white mocha sauce! I’ve been trying to figure it out too. When I make sweet cream cold foam I use sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, & heavy whipping cream which is sooo much worse LOL

Aren't the calories you're reading for the whole package of heavy cream? It doesn't use to state how many calories it is in a tablespoon of heavy cream. It usually states for the entire package and per 100ml 🙈

I don’t believe that white chocolate expires within it’s dated time. Two months? No. Just keep in your refrigerator. The company is making major profit off that false info. They just want you to keep spending money by throwing away “expired “ chocolate.

Before I got my machine I just strained my coffee and it worked well. Add 5 tbs of ground coffee to about 3-5 ounces of HOT water. Stir and let sit for a few minutes, then strain into cup.

That expiration date is ridiculous, you should've sent it back, or they should be selling something that size and that expire date for at least half the price. If you were a coffee business, then you would use it for sure, but not just in your home. Not fair to you, Amazon is pretty good, even if you've used some, I believe they would replace with a better exp. date.
