I TOTALLY AGREE. I feel like when it comes to the strat, Sara is the only person I could understand. She doesn't overcomplicate it, she doesn't talk to her listeners like they've been using the Strat for years, but really tries to get you to understand. Ive been trading since March 2020 and honestly have been "gambling" (trading with no strategy and solely off of news and the patterns in my head lol) . Now I can honestly say Ive been using a strategic method (the strat) and feel way more confident. I dont rush into trades, Im more level headed and really let the money come to me. I'll circle back around when I reach my financial goals. THANKS SARA!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Sara, I have tuned into your videos and the Strat for a few months now, and to honestly say between you and Mr Clark Griswold, have taken my trading approach a whole different level and so grateful for it. I just started live last week, but I do still demo. I have contributed before and want to give more, for all you do and changed my way of looking at candlesticks. I was so overwhelmed of learning candlestick names, hammer, engulfing, doji, evening star, and different chart patterns, I was lost. But taking on the suggestion from Griswold, learn a Strat combo and get good with it and then learn another one. My favorite are the inside bars, the springload, consolidation, and then take off. However, learning how to wait for the market to pick it's direction then push play. It's as simple as 1, 2, 3. I WILL ALWAYS GIVE YOU PROPS👍🏽👍🏽💪🏽🖖🏽🤙🏽.

How do you find which options contracts to take for swings? If I’m doing monthly time frame rev strats, a leap is probably obvious.. I want to say if I’m doing monthly to buy leaps, if I’m doing weekly time frame to buy maybe a month or two out with a close strike? I know this goes into the Greeks more... and might not have a quick answer, but I’d love to see an in depth video on your thought process of which contracts to buy ☺️. Also thank you for mentioning adding to positions.. I think it’s important to remember that it’s okay to add to positions that are going your way.. I also think it’s important to buy two contracts so you can let one run a bit longer and pay for your trade.. any other tips?
@halfover3 жыл бұрын
Your videos are always appreciated. As far as swing stops on a long trade, you have mentioned before if entering on a month or week chart to use the low of the previous bar (trigger bar). Sometimes that can be quite a large % stop. If the month triggers and then pulls back to below the trigger, it would seem that would be an level to stop out at. However , if you were to do that, there are times when you would have to re-enter and stop out a few times before the monthly level works. E.G. SMH. Last month's high was 250.07 and low was 222.82 (almost an 18% stop using the month's low) . It triggered on 06/01/2021 and finished lower than the monthly trigger and went back and forth through the 250.07 level a few times before it broke out today (06/14/2021). ( I realize that I could take fewer shares and use the month's low. It just seems that there should be a better way to manage the trade.) Sorry for such a long post. I do appreciate your time. Thanks.
@halfover3 жыл бұрын
I did just re-watch the "Where does the stop loss go?!" video. In that case most of the examples seemed to work immediately (which I understand is the situation you want to be in.) Perhaps the answer is, if the stop is too big, don't take it. Again, I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.
@SaraStratSniper3 жыл бұрын
I actually encourage people to use multiple time frame analysis. SO use the weekly for your entries and exits so your stops are tighter

3s are broadening formations on a smaller time frame. Check out some of my broadening formation videos if you need more clarification.
@chrisbenson20843 жыл бұрын
Hi Sara, thanks for these awesome videos. 2 questions: 1. The top line for the broadening formation on ZM, you made it based on that 2-1-2 monthly high, not the all time high. Is that because it's a high closer in price to current price, but if ZM breaks that line, you'd then use the a top line based on the all time high? (I guess a third question would be what would you use if the all time high broadening line broke and kept going, blue sky.) 2. On swings, do you recommend using the "it came back 50% - 2 is going to be a 3- rule" for a stop loss? I noticed your rule of thumb in other videos, but it seems like your stop loss is usually the bottom of the previous candle. I'm not sure why since that rule implies it's going to break the bottom of the previous candle anyway. Thanks again, your videos have changed my outcomes immensely and I really appreciate them and all your efforts!
@garrettfnelson2 жыл бұрын
I think she used that to show what you would be looking at as the trade plays out. So you could see where off of that broadening formation it broke a previous high indicating a reversal would likely be coming.

Hi Sara really enjoy your strat based on monthly candles. One quick question though, should you wait until the month ends for a long entry on NIO. Even though price has exceeded previous month high but anything can happen from here since there are still much time left in the month.

It’s 2022 I’m just finding your videos this week. I’m an options day trader. Using the strats pivots I saw 143% gain, was greedy and took profit at 110% because my target was a point off, for it to go exactly thru my pivot and hit my target. I’m not mad tho, if my target is 90% met , I’m ok with that for now. Anyway just wanted to share my morning trading story and how you literally helped me. Btw been trading for 2-3 year , just new to the strat. Very eye opening

Hey, Sarah! Do you have any personal rules you follow to keep you from jumping the gun too early? For example, on Sunday you see a Weekly set-up that's positioned to trigger a Monthly set-up. Do you immediately start looking to enter at Monday's opening bell if it appears as though it will trigger during that period, or do you have a rule against entering during opening bell volatility?

Hi Sara, would you say that trading BF is counter trend on lower time frame? e.g. ZM after hitting low 273.20, the next week candle made a 2-2 rev Up, but in the monthly and qtrly, the candles were still red. Wud u take the weekly buy signal?
@SaraStratSniper3 жыл бұрын
If you're bottom picking the bottom of broadening formation, yes it is countertrend. If your using the monthly actionable signal then you have FTFC from the monthly down. I talk about this in more detail in my broadening formation video.

@MonteViste3 жыл бұрын
The question doesn't make too much sense. There is no such thing as a STRAT chart. theSTRAT is a trading strategy from Rob Smith. Those who employ this strategy are referred to as Stratters theSTRAT can be be used with any broker, any instrument, any platform and any timeframe (Monthly, Weekly, Daily, Hourly etc). The trading platform that Sara is using in this video is called TradingView. The "theSTRAT numbers" that you can see on Sara's chart are the result of a custom script that Sara has loaded into TradingView. There are lots of examples of this particular script to be found all over the web. You don't need the numbers in order to trade theSTRAT - they are just helpful when starting out. Advanced Stratters don't particularly have any need for them. After trading theSTRAT for a few months it becomes possible "to see" the various reversal patterns and broadening formations. All you need to do then is to draw the broadening formations and pivot lines of interest to you. Watch all of Sara's videos. Search youtube for Benzinga interviews with Sara, Rob and Jermain (AKA Strat Soldier) Watch ALL of Sara's videos - at least 10 times. There is a fantastic theSTRAT community on Twitter - be a part of it.

Love the content, keep up the good work. One thing you keep saying is that support is diagonal. I highly disagree. Support is horizontal. It is an area of price that the institutions build thier positions. And they will defend those positions if possible. This is the "support". Market makers get paid to fill orders and provide liquidity. Hitting everyone's stops is the easiest way to fill orders, and start greed/fear cycle all over again.
