This type of sword is called 'Hwando' in Korean. Single sword and twin swords are basically same only the length is different. Twin swords usually use smaller size ones.

What would be the difference in using these and chisa katana's? Specifically since the chisa has a full double handed katana grip. Would it get in the way of these movements?

This is perfect. A really great explanation and breaking it down to make it understandable. Really gifted in teaching and i would love more of this or a training course with this teaching style. It has helped me a lot to improve my coordination. Thank you.

Thank you for posting beginner exercises for ssang gum! I will post your videos on the Facebook Korean sword group page to get the word out. For those interested there are several English translations of the entire Korean Muye Dobo Tongji - including scroll 3 for the ssang gum form. Jack Chen at Chinese Longsword offers a translation of the 3rd scroll separately.

Not sure if both swords doing the same movement at the same time is all that productive, seems to defeat the purpose of using two swords, would be like a boxer throwing two punches with each fist at once. And again some awful false times here.
