Kirby is pretty bad in this game sad as it is to say, but lets not forget how bad they made our King Dedede here as well. Really does feel like they were both designed to be bad on purpose

As a Kirby main this matchup is hard but I feel embarrassed after watching this. You can hit a gordo with fair and nair. Also run up back air and and lining up down Bs is pretty free on DDDs recovery (even tho he typically armies through) also he is so big that fair 1 drag down in f smash and drag down fiat into down smash is very easy to fish for especially with fade away fair.

@@overcommon7662 yeah it looks like hell trying to avoid the gordos especially with how floaty they are. It looked like he tried smacking them back a few times but got hit instead. Love Kirby though and good luck on your future matches bro.

@@overcommon7662up b is generally safer and easier for hitting gordos back. Edgeguarding with bair or stone is fine if d3 uses up b but with his jumps that isn’t going to be incredibly common. As for fair 1 combos sure it’s easy to hit if you hit the fair 1 but the issue is landing the fair 1. DDD makes things hard in terms of getting in (especially cause his lag is loaded on startup rather than end lag which is hard to punish with slow speed) and fading back with the fair isn’t a good way to get the fair 1 cause by fading back you give up space and d3 isn’t a character who will rush in and fall for the fade back. He will advance slowly and take space for abusing ledge traps or swing at distance with a disjoint

​@@overcommon7662fair on Gordo is easy to punish if D3 recognizes you're going for it regularly and Will definitely would, down b on recov puts Kirby in a bad position after D3 armors through. The damage is not worth it against a guy known for his ledge trapping.
