it's his dair, people are not comfortable to go for double or triple dair off-stage yet. It'll show in time. But Oblina has that too and it's active for longer. I think she's better ngl. Spongebob is deffo top 5 though.

He's like 6th-8th best, will be Top 5 when Lucy, Mikey, Oblina and Leo inevitably get nerfed. Also DI change will benefit Spongebob as he'll basically Up-air follow DI like Mario. Imo like Ultimate Mario, he'll start off looking High tier and eventually down the road will be accepted as a solid Top Tier character.

These 2 characters accel ALOT with fastfall combos.. i'm very surprised almost none of the pros were doing it including these 2.

Ha, yeah, it's pretty odd that they haven't started incorporating it into their game yet. It's probably more akin to how SpongeBob was intended to be played. Not to mention, it's been pretty confirmed that the endless nair combos are going to be nerfed in one way or another, so maybe he's just trying not to rely on it!

@@juicin5543 one of the biggest differences from fast falling I’ve noticed is you can also dash down and slightly forward which is helpful for more consistent follow ups on DI away

This game looks so JANK to me. I cant get into it. It hurts my eyes to look at (bright) and it just looks like constant jumping with light attacks. I’m trying to give it a chance tho.. It seems empty and idk why. It’s obviously missing sound from the characters but idk

It definitely doesn’t have the same polish as smash does so don’t go into it looking for that, but as far as platform fighters go this is in the same vein as melee. The speed of combat and tech options are game savers to me, along with the devs being very supportive of comp play. Even if this one isn’t as polished, with how well the game is doing you better believe NASB 2 gonna have more budget and feel great

Have you played it yet? I really wasn't sold on it until a friend/coworker brought it into the office. It's a ton of fun to play and honestly I think it's less spammy than ultimate/it's way easier to punish spam
