1. Election commission is a constitutional body. Article 324 2. It was formed in 25th January 1950 . 3.The commission issued the Code of Conduct for the first time in 1971 for the 5th Lok Sabha elections. 4. An effort to prevent electoral fraud, in 1993, EPICs or Electors Photo Identity Cards were issued, which became mandatory by the 2004 elections . 5.ECI 360 mobile application was developed for the general public

Gyanesh and ss Sandhu new commissioner, Rajiv Kumar chief hai feb2025 tak Art 324-329 me mentioned constitutional body hai Sukumar Sen 1st chief and VS ramadevi first women chief thi. Parties ko symbol dena , chunav karana , result dena sab iska kaam hai.

1.The Election Commission was established in accordance with the Constitution on 25th January 1950. 2.Article 324 to 329 of the constitution deals with powers, function, tenure, eligibility, etc of the commission and the member. 3.Part XV of the Indian constitution deals with elections, and establishes a commission for these matters. 4.At the state level election commission is helped by Chief Electoral Officer who is an IAS rank Officer. 5.The Chief Election Commissioner can be removed from office only through a process of removal similar to that of a Supreme Court judge for by Parliament.
