As a Russian and a sci-fi fan, I can't recommend “Roadside Picnic” (and other Strugatsky bros' works) enough!

It's quite different from what you might expect, Roadside Picnic doesn't even try to explain the zone to you, it simply accepts that it's beyond our comprehension and leaves it at that, the games perhaps try to go too much out of their way to explain the how's and why's of the zone, which somewhat diminishes it's mysterious nature.

Evinicle review, even revised, is also up there in WTF factor. Though there can be an issue with QB reacting to it since she seems to be less comfortable with and finds less humor in degeneracy than she does violence and general craziness.

Nice video! I don't like scary games too. The only ones i'm about tolerated is Silent hill series which is the scariest shit i've played, FEAR which i loved for gunplay but hated for jump scares, and STALKER which isn't all that scary compared to the previous two series but has the most depressing yet stunning atmosphere to it. Hope you hang with Sseth for at least a couple more vids.

Silent Hill is an amazing horror series. The story, lore and psychological connections to the characters were worth the terrifying experience. I wish Homecoming was a trilogy like they originally wanted it to be though. The idea of Joshua fighting Alessa over control of Silent Hill sounded interesting and may have shown Alessa and Joshua’s combat abilities, which canonically Alessa has since she pushed Harry in the first game with psychokinesis and shoots energy bolts in the Play Novel.

The book that this is based off is super good, it's a true sci-fi classic, the audio book is done by Robert Forester and i love giving it a listen once a year or so.

I love stalker. Fun fact. The first game was based on the book. Which has been mentioned many times. Based on games from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. the books were created. Sometimes even whole series. Moreover ... fans have waited a long time for part 4 of the games (they are still waiting). So they set about making their own game that could be the spiritual heir to the stalker series. But they had no brand rights. So they created a unique world (but in a similar atmosphere) based on the same assumptions (or at least it was supposed to be). This is how Survarium was born. It is not a successful project and is still in beta. But the background of the plot was so good .... THAT THERE WERE A WHOLE SERIES OF BOOKS based on it. So the stalker ... it's a game based on the book. The game on which the books were written. A game based on which another game was made on the basis of which books were also written.

If you want to i would recommend his Starsector/Vampire the Masquerade review, they are both really good. If you feel ambitious you can watch his newest video which is really good but really long (compared to the rest of his stuff), either way really enjoyed the video. Wish you whould talk a little bit more though.

Stalker shadow of chernobyl is by far the scariest of the three in terms of ambience but pripyat is the best one in terms of gameplay. We don't talk about clear sky... You should give it a try!

I love STALKER. STALKER 2 is on its way, they promise (again). It's not a horror game as such, it's just scary. Everything is killable, it's just that you might well find yourself overloaded coming back from a mission so you can't run, and also run out of ammunition or meds or both. Curiusly enough, it's easier to play on Master difficulty, because the way they generated the other difficulties was to nerf the base difficulty by making you and your enemies into bullet sponges, so it's much harder to drop a basic bandit and he has time to recover and out another 12 rounds into you. The music and sound design is fantastic, adding so much eeryness and atmosphere.

I would like to point out, that you probably microphone auto adjust volume on. Everytimg anny sound comes from your mic, the video gets dampened abruptly, this makes watching quite ennoying, since if you want to listen to bouth the vid you are reacting to, and you at the same time. I reccomend balancing volume without auto adjust turned on before you start the reaction.
