Goku never wanted to fight Super Buu, Goku straight up said base Super Buu would Kill Goku and Vegeta. SSJ 3 Gotenks however was a bit stronger than Super Buu, Soooo SSJ 3 Gotenks is a lot stronger than SSJ 3 Goku

Goku said this based off of what he heard from Supreme Kai, he also said this when he was inside Buu, with 1/100 of his power, because he was shrunk, and he didn't know that he would go back to normal, so 1% of Goku and Vegeta WOULD lose to Super Buu, but Goku didn't know how strong Super Buu actually was.

They had the power but no maturity or a lot of fighting experience compared to the other z fighters. SS3 Gotenks was more or less EVEN with Super Buu. Even if the kid WAS stronger than Buu, it was only by a small margin. Goku didn't wanna face Super Buu AT ALL! The only reason he engaged in battle with the likes of Buutenks (at SS3) & Buuhan (at SS1) was to stall in order to fuse with someone else!

That scaling is wrong. Fat Buu is stronger than kid Buu when he's mad. Kid Buu is the weakest Buu because he's the base form. Goku is stated often that he'd easily kill kid Buu but he's not in the state he was when he fought fat Buu(who was not trying because he was impressed by Goku). Even with no energy he was slapping away kid buus blast effortlessly while when kid Buu tried the same he got blew away. Kid Buu was just relentless it didn't matter how much damage he took. Good Buu who is severely weaker than fat Buu was going toe to toe with kid Buu to by Vegeta time so imagine what fat Buu would've done.

However after fusion, in buus stomach ssj1 Goku>ultimate Gohan and Vegeta ssj1 > ssj3 Gotenks. Despite earlier in the abuu saga, even anime wise Goku/Vegeta ssj2 were only a little above enraged ssj2 cell games Gohan. The fake Z fighters are verbatim stated = to the real ones. There are 2 possibilities, the life force kai gave Goku made him massively stronger OR the potara did. However it has to be the latter because Vegeta also grew in power to fight and beat Gotenks. Does it make sense? Nope. But it's the only explanation

The battle between Goku & Cell could last for sum time.” This is further confirmed by Gohan tellin his father “Fight at his level dad, u can do it. There you go.” Goku had reached his limit, he was able to push pass his limit and fight at a higher level, closer to Cell. Now Goku legit received a Zenkai Boost bcuz he pushed beyond his Max Power Level. But Cell neva did. Then how? one little thing i realized after awhile of scaling is that db characters during Z are way more powerful then they are calked at like perfect cell destroying a planet that is bare minimum 4D+ makes him at least a dimension buster and not solar system level and buu saga characters bare minimum are 4d and ssj3 goku/gotenks/gohan/buu are easily 8D due to goku in ssj3 shaking all of the afterlife the kais world and the underworld and the kais world is bare minimum 6d and could be up to 12d due to time not existing and if so goku is filling and shaking multiple infinite transcendental dimensions that have multiple infinite universal sized planets

Did it occur to you that “like this” could also mean “unfused” instead of “small”? In that same conversation, Goku has an attitude because Vegeta destroyed the potara earlier. I just reread the chapter, Goku isn’t surprised that he’s back to his normal size. He’s happy that his kids and piccolo no longer have those pods on them. “We did it! They’re all back to normal”. Another one of your assumptions is hearing Vegeta say that Goku is “number 1” and thinking that means he’s the strongest despite Vegeta never mentioning the words “strongest” “most powerful” or anything like that. That is the right result, but you missed a few key features that involved Piccolo. I can argue post training Base Gotenks is stronger than SSJ3 Goku as Piccolo was much more impressed with their power at that point than their previous SSJ power. While Piccolo overestimated Gotenks beating Buu in Base, he was super impressed by their Base form, and while also didn't know they could transform after fusing.

He wanted to fuse to defeat Super Buu after absorbing a Ssj3 Gotenks and Piccolo. This was like fighting Super Buu × 2 with Piccolo's intelligence. Beyond that point, we've never seen a full power Goku until the fight with Kid Buu. And he lost his full power after that fight. 2. He suggested to fused Vegeta so that they could easily defeat them when they escaped. They were quite literally less than a quarter of their size. Hence why he states "he'll defeat either of us if we go out LIKE THIS" and even has statements of being inside Buu's body where Super Buu claims that their attack only feels like a flea bite. Fusion was the only difference as they were able to maintain their while fused despite the size difference. 3.I really hate when people use that comment "Goku was confident to fight Kid Buu not Super Buu" First Off, Goku was confident enough to think he could blast a hole in Super Buu as a basic Super Saiyan in the manga before failing. So stop the B.S. Just as they noticed the size difference with themselves they did the same with Kid Buu, immediately underestimating him after seeing him. Then Goku states he wanted to fight Kid Buu with his own power instead of fusing because he wanted a fair fight and Vegeta also didn't want to fuse anyways. This is why every single time in the series when he's looked for Ki from otherworld he's needed to use instant transmission. When touching King Kai, he also can't sense Ki. The only time Ki could be sensed from otherworld is 2 instances. Both are significant and outline a new level of power being the reason it can be sensed at all. SSJ3 Goku is not stronger than fat Buu. He though he was, and he also thought he could beat Kid Buu and was very wrong. Fat Buu was by far the closest the Kid Buu as their fight lasted for quite a while. SSJ3 Goku would have no chance again Fat Buu in a real fight. SSJ3 Gotenks was on par with Super Buu, which is in a different league. No contest. The only possibility is that the time limit may be more severe for Gotenks, but he should be able to one-shot Goku.

This is proven to be true toward the end of the arc when Goku fight or gets ready to fight Kid Buu Stating he had the power the whole time to beat the weakest version of Majin Buu, but chose not to to allow the younger generation to have a chance. This, more than anything else highlights Goku was holding back a great deal of power while in the SSJ3 form vs Fat Buu. Because at the time. He was going to return to the other world and was not allowed to come back to the world of the living due to the Cosmic laws rules and regulations that he himself also followed and was governed by. Goku has been lying and hiding keeping his maximum power level a secret throughout the entire arc, that is, until he fight Kid Buu. What’s more so many fans upscale SSJ3 Gotenks, while simultaneously down scaling SSJ3 Goku . So let’s go by their logic. I’d say Goku just a bit weaker than Base Form Gotenks. Since dats true, why is Base Form Gotenks Stronger than Base Form Goku but then they basically say SSJ3 Goku is equal to SSJ2 Majin Vegeta.. Whaat? Something doesn’t add up with that at all. Even on a lowball SSJ3 Goku should be just a hair weaker than SSJ3 Gotenks. I would say generally Cell(after being complete) I dont think it was ever about a specific moment. He represents Cell overall. Goku saw Dabura and Cell was what came to mind first,its pretty simple. The fat vs evil buu thing is not how you presented it. The complete fat buu lost power when they split. Piccolo comments on the fact that the evil buu took most of the power with him. When they recombine with the evil personality piccolo comments that Super buus new body is just more efficient for fighting. Super buu is not significantly stronger than fat. Also goku says Super buu is stronger than them with the context that they are miniturized. Which level of Gotenks is that inferring to? The SSJ3 Level, clearly. So you must be able to connect the dots to know what is specifically being said and why. Because if you aren’t then you will take it out of context simply because the narration in both Amanda and the anime is not saying the specific level. In order to get the clearest contacts I will ask this question. When is the manga stated the mightiest warrior talking about Gohan. And it said he was stronger than go tanks. Did it simply mean that he’s only stronger than base form Gotenks or is it implying Gotenks at his highest transformation? It is obviously implying SSJ3 Gotenks. How do we know this? Bcuz it states Gohan does not need to transform into (SSJ or SSJ2) to be stronger than him. And notice in both of these examples that are 100% true the mom and the anime never and I mean never stated that go Han nor go tanks with stronger than Goku. It states that both are stronger than other characters but it never states that they are stronger than Goku. That’s because it Goku is stronger than both of them. He always has been in the Buu Arc. This is why in both the manga DBZ and the anime DBZ Kai Goku versus Kid Buu the narrator states battle of the strongest versus the strongest. So again any fan or hater of DBZ and especially against Goku’s character is going to try to put Goku in the third placement instead of the first placement. But the manga and the anime puts Goku at number one because it’s telling the same story in the same time in the same way and in the same space. They do not interfere with one another they connect with one another. There are like two different streams going into the same direction and becoming one. This is specifically why Akira Toriyama said DBZ manga and DBZ KAI anime are synonymous. That means they are one continuity and they are both equally canon, that also means all filler in Kai is Canon. Base form Gotenks did gain a higher base form than Goku. I’m keeping it 100%. I got to. But that doesn’t mean that go thanks for still strong than Goku in their highest level. How is this possible? sing that I’ve already established at the SSJP multiplier is 300 times in its maximum state of being. Also means at a bare minimum it takes a 200x multiplier just to transform that’s the minimum multiplier. Goku base form at 3.6 billion with a 200 times minimum multiplier to transform into the SSJ3 state, puts him at 720 billion. Go tax base form at 4 billion with a 200 times minimum multiplier to transform it to the SSJ3 state puts him at 800 billion. Clearly stronger than SSJ III Goku’s. But remember Goku can attain the maximum multiplier Gotenks cannot he can only attain the minimum multiplier. Goku was obviously heavily suppressed. Goku didn’t need anywhere near that in my power to beat Fat Buu. So when Goku achieves the maximum multiplier 300x negative to my power level of 1,080,000,000,000 that’s 1 Trillion 80 Billion. Completely out classing showing that he is massively overwhelmingly and exceedingly stronger than SSJ3 Gotenks. Goku never uses his maximum power level until he fights Kid Buu. Goku SSJ3 Goku mudstomps SSJ3 Gotenks.

1 that's not what Goku said (it's a dub mistake). In the manga and Japanese Dub Goku said, that Gohan could handle Buu , so they didn't need potaras anymore 2 when did Goku said, that SSJ3=3SSJ2? 3 no. In Daizenshuu it was stated, that BASE Gotenks is above Majin Vegeta and others and in the manga Trunks said, that base Gotenks=Fat Buu. And it wouldn't make sense for him surpassing any of them only in SSJ3, while he was superior to Majin Buu in SSJ even before ROSAT training 4 nah. Goku is WAY weaker, than Gotenks, let alone Gohan

Anime- Propably Goku regardless if he is stronger,the gap isnt that big here. Manga- Gotenks oneshots. Its stated SSJ1 Pre Rosat Gotenks is stronger than Fat Buu. Its stated in guides Post Rosat Base Gotenks>Majin Vegeta It was also implied by Trunks that Post Rosat Base Gotenks was close to Fat Buu level,they likely didnt understood how much stronger Super Buu was than Fat Buu Goku didnt know about SSJ3 Gotenks,infact he couldnt believe it when he saw it When he said someone stronger than him he meant Gotenks WITHOUT SSJ3 Goku does NOT get stronger afterwards in the Buu saga There is ZERO proof of this. Toriyama was just tired and was ending the manga,ofcourse its not going to be that thought out. Goku outright stated Gotenks would be a stronger warrior than him and Def beat Fat Buu. Well it isn't stated anywhere that Gotenks was stronger than Fat Buu in SSJ. It's also stated in guides that Ssj3 Goku is on par with Super Buu after absorbing Gotenks. That was never implied by Trunks. Goku did know about Ssj3 Gotenks. He literally showed them the form and then told them that they had the possibility of reaching it when fused. Goku did not need to get stronger. In the Manga and Anime, Fat Buu already easily beat base Gotenks. The fight wasn't even shown in the manga, in which Piccolo even states that Gotenks didn't stand a chance and needed training. Hence, why he went to the hyperbolic time chamber in the first place. NOT FOR SUPER BUU
