SSL 273 ~ Debauchery continues with SV DELOS and DRENCHED DIVING Crew!

The debauchery continues with SV DELOS crew, SSL, and DRENCHED DIVING! This day we go for a beautiful sail on the South coast of Grenada as we move to Secret Harbour in Mt Hartman Bay.. lots of fun along the way, and DELOS Crew learns what a Full Moon by daylight is! Lol
John Wiles was our latest Patron invited to come aboard 'SOPHISTICATED LADY' and arrives all the way from North Carolina to pick up his new Caribbean Pirate flag that we retired from SOPHISTICATED LADY for him, after it flew in our rigging for over a month in the Caribbean breeze... Great to see you John, and thanks for coming!
That afternoon is spent diving with Nate and Jordan of DRENCHED DIVING, and then back for an evening BBQ on SOPHISTICATED LADY with all crew from SSL, SV DELOS, and DRENCHED DIVING.. What an awesome day!

Wow, that was a lot going on. As always love Drench's dive videos with you while on the lady. I know Bill & Lori had the trip of a lifetime although it was sad to see Michelle and them having to leave. Great job hosting the dinner party with such a large group of people. You and Delos sailing together is truly beautiful to watch. That was pretty that cool that John was able to make the trip down to receive your gift and that was pretty impressive for Mark to swim out to say hi. You ever see any crew from Advantage Boating? They give the sailing courses up here in Ottawa/Kingston and they run the courses down in the BVIs in the winter. Did my basic cruising in Kingston, their 5 day live aboard, last summer. I want to take their intermediate course in the BVIs next year.

Thanks again mate, might be worth giving a quick camera lesson to whoever was doing some of the videoing, slower pans & zooms, it was for me anyway very hard to watch, it gave me a headache. The part where you got Delos with there toe rail just above the water, after all the years watching them, they have not even shown that from what I can remember back, it looked very impressive. Do you have any drone shots of the Lady leaned over going at a million miles an hour on the water with the rail just in the water, I can't remember her like that as well after all the time I have been watching you. SOPHISTICATED LADY is actually a very stiff boat, 15 degrees of heel is her ideal for maximum efficiency through the water.. if her rail is in the water it is because you have too much sail up and need to put a reef in... :)

very much so, as soon as you have too much heel, your rudder and keel become very ineffective in the water and you will lose much of your forward speed to sideslip because the keel is not in deep and dense enough water to hold against the sideways force of the wind.
