How amazing is that!!!! Rick, you may not know this but it was you and your channel that got me interested in sailing and in 2011, after completing all my ASA courses, I took my first charter in the BVI's and witnessed for myself what you had so beautifully showed me. I continue to sail ever since thanks to you. And then Delos, a group I look forward to Fridays, has continued to inspire me to explore the world that surrounds me. But to see you and Delos together was nothing short of emotional for me. Two channels. Two groups of sailors that had such an impact on my life and path who were literally oceans apart. Pulitzer Prize for the over-the-top drone footage. Not many, if any, could ever match it. Just couldn't believe how talented you've become at getting the footage and editing out of this world shots. Much more skillful than the kite board guy, although he was fun to watch especially with you miraculously keeping pace with him. As Karyn would say: "awesome". The drone footage is otherworldly. I understand why you wanted to say a farewell to your island bar friend and take Delos along. Great job Rick! Your carefully edited videos are always AWEsome. Something that makes your channel special is how you mix in real time vids, though briefer and less edited, with your regular weekly full production videos. The real times keep us up to date SSL's travels and gives a heads up of what's to come in future full length weekly vids. I'm sure you realive how that builds anticipation for the next weekly release. Something to consider especially with Brenden on board is to include "edited by" and a list of your crew for the episode. I know some will say you're stealing from Delos' format but don't all other video productions (for theaters, TV, etc.) include credits? Just a tought on making your excellent productions even better. Keep up the good work & thanks for all you do. Jon Parkyn

My wife and I cruised for years...and we loved it..BUT while we were out there sailing about, we met a LOT of really cool, interesting people, and we always ended up saying goodbye to people we really liked, and would have liked to spent more time..but they are on the move, as we were, and honesty, we got tired, really tired of sying goodbye..so we quit sailing. For us, it was a good move to go sailing and a good move to stop sailing. Different strokes.....

you can post anything you want, but as a youtube partner if you post something with any kind of copyrighted material in it, even if only 30-seconds of the copyright content in a 2-hour video, the copyright holder has the right to take all your monetization and you effectively get nothing for all your work, and this video has over 35 hours of editing in it.. so I wasn't about to just hand over my rights to someone that previously gave us permission and now wants to steal all our rights entirely.

That's ok Rick, at first I was bewildered but, you explained well here. By the way, you should look into doing live KZbin every once in a while. I watch Sailing Doodles (Bob and Laura) who do that rather frequently and it really produces a great connection with their fans. I'm sure you are learning a lot from your buddies Delos, who have learned to produce an excellent show. I have told them they are reaching television level broadcast equivalent to such shows as: Jacques Cousteau, National Geographic Wild Kindom, and the Travel channel. Keep up the good work!

I just don't understand how a snippet of a song or a whole song flags up and Star Wars, James Bond, Family Guy, Snoop Dogg, JayZ etc in other videos watched today (have been up in some cases for years and some relatively new) get away with it. I have the newest DJI Pro Drone, a Galaxy Note 8 and the Samsung goggles plus a set of non-plug in goggles. What is the process to fly with the goggles now? I would LOVE to do this as it is so hard to see the Apple iPad in the sun. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure what the process is for Samsung stuff.. all mine is DJI so work automatically with the Mavic Pro, or HDMI direct with the Obsidian

Captain Rick Moore OK I found the DJI Goggles that work with the Mavick and Phantom 4+. They are around $350USD. Too bad they decided to pocket the money and not develop an application that works with the Oculus goggle system.

the DJI system pretty much breaks new ground for a truly immersive experience in hi-res wireless system.. but they are bulky to travel with is the only problem
