It's NOT waterproof! Water will ingress if left too long. (14:50) I guess paying attention for more than 10 minutes is not something 'modern audiences' are capable of.

Thank you for the review! This version should have been what they put out in the first place. Unfortunately, many, many of us struggled with earlier versions that were nearly impossible to calibrate and screwed around until we got to the point where we're simply done with SplashDRONE. The faults you describe keep this from several uses not the least of which include the ability to inspect underwater objects at shallow depths. We have told the folks at SplashDRONE this they either didn't take us seriously or just don't have the capability to make it completely waterproof up to 20 FSW. On the plus side they support the product unlike Autel that just stops producing batteries making what you paid a lot of money for completely useless. DO NOT BUY AN AUTEL PRODUCT. EVER!!! To conclude - we will wait for SplashDRONE 5.

Just a tip, on the voice. Rick, a natural helping cure for the throat is Honey in very small amounts. The honey coats the injured parts of the throat and helps it heal. Think of a liquid bandaid. They sell Honey in small wax straws, or plastic , if you get raw Honey is better. Even just a hard candy made out of mainly, honey, dont bite it let it melt in your mouth. Ok. About the drone.. how cool for us older guys. Surf fishing on the beach . It's a bitch to cast out 200 yards. But that drone can go spot how far out the fish are running. Come back, hook your bait hook under the drone. Fly the baited hook, out 200 yards and drop it. Rick, can you do a video on USEING that drone for beach fishing. And, hey you and your buddys, get fresh catch of the day.

Your right, about the turtle mode. This is what they need. First test in waves the amount of time the cloth, sensor takes before water will soak into the drone. X time, next, like the shape of a hour glass. ( old school sand clocks for 1 hour.) Inside the drone, very small , make the shape of a hour glass, use, ? Liquid ? Mercury, when the drones , flips upside down in the water, the small, liquid hour glass shape ? Switch, upside down, the liquid from the bottom is now on top, it pours thru the skinny hole, back. Completing a auto turtle switch connection, drones flips back. The liquid pours back to kill the connection. Till next time. Easy peazey. A auto flip switch, that would be small easy to make, have no heat.

DJI should just add waterproofing to the Mini SE. Why spend a ton of money on a waterproof Drone ? Add $100 to the price of a Mini SE and paint it orange, and perhaps a little flotation, and its perfect and affordable. Regarding your mention of the fact that if it is 100 ft or more away, and inverted, it cannot rx signal from the controller. EASY . Just spike an antenna out the bottom and the top. Satellites do this, an antenna on the bottom and the top. Would be even easier to do this with a drone.

You could make it waterproof, but making it float with all the weight in such a small body is the trick..
