Wow, pretty good review! I like how you put things to a simple resume. Totally understandable and I agree with every word you said. I got this plugin for 35$ in Sale these days. Lucky me ;-)

This is why I like your channel you are a no BS kind of guy you tell it like it is I like that as for this plug in it does sound good does it's job but I agree not worth the price they are selling it for. Keep up the great work Dave till next time stay safe

Good video, lots of content. However, for a processor like this, might be a good idea to exaggerate your settings beyond what you're hearing in the studio. KZbin does weird things to the highs sometimes, making it hard to hear.

Thanks for the review. I picked it up on sale. Luckily, SSL is putting each module on sale one by one. If not, I would have not purchased this one as you cannot influence a frequency range as far as I can tell from the demonstration.

Nice reviews for beginners like me. Question. SSL is selling these right now( October, 2022) for about 30-35 USD, one per week. Personally, I’ve been buying their native ones when in similar steep sales( about 20-30 each, give or take) These are obviously very personal decisions, but picked the vintage drive, skipped the EQ, but I really like this HF, which just entered its sale week. Might get the stereo one as well. So. Any thoughts, feelings on them as useful in a less than total combo, but at more realistic prices, as they’ve obviously gotten the message

Personally, at $30 each I would have them all and set them up and use them like the hardware counterpart.

@@HomeRecordingMadeEasy Thank you. As you know, they did the same thing with several of the native x plug-ins a few months back. I picked the channel strip and buss comp, the x-sat, flexverb, drum and vocal strip for around these prices. Now they’re doing it with these fusion modules. I’m sure they’ll be back for the holidays as well. Very good presentations!

the SSL native buss compressor is excellent, pick it up if you get the chance

So what does this do that a multiband compressor couldn't? Is it doing anything unique?

hey! i see you have many DAW, but why you always use Studio one? its just a question not a reproche :) peace

Because its the best DAW in my opinion by a long shot and most of my audience uses Studio One

Great review. Definitely doesn't appear to be worth $200...particularly given the limited feature set. The DMG Essence is a waaaaay better investment if you are looking for a very versatile high quality HF limiter/de-esser (and it does way more than that). Soothe 2 is also great.

I use the SSL monthly subscription plan. Seems like better value as you say 👍🏻
