This is the second part of our install of our Schenker Zen100 Watermaker that runs completely from solar power, including the first test of the system, and detailed explanation of the components and layout of the install.
If you are looking for a similar watermaker that can be run from solar power and lithium batteries instead of a generator, find more info on Schenker watermakers at the address below:

I watched this entire video and I must say it was the most detailed on spot instruction about water makers I have ever seen, there is no doubt I'd have to call a professional to install it 🤣

Rick, I have a Schenker 100 also for the past 18mo. Rather than disconnect the product line for a test line, I cut into the product line with a T-valve and permanent test line. I do not trust the desalination meter as I have seen it read from divert to bad to ok, and the ok can be over 500 tds, even over 600 tds. I therefore always run a sample out of the test line and check it with a hand meter like you did (I have two). World of difference between sub 300 tds and 500+ tds. Normal bottled water is usually high100's to low 200's. In my experience in the 300's is ok, over 400 is no bueno, can start to taste weird and taking in too high amount of electrolytes.

G'day Rick, Mate I find it very surprising that you run your high pressure hoses with just the one hose clamp instead of two per connection which clamps I normally mount each clamp mounted opposing each other. However overall a very impressive installation and overall system. Well done ole mate. Cheers Rosco

There are a few places like Hawaii that do use the salination systems the problem is when you clean the water you dump all the brine back into the ocean eventually you will raise the salt level so high that it will start to deteriorate the natural environments that the sea life lives in

@@jimlofts5433 You ask a question I give you an answer there is no salt in the rain yes there may beesome toxins in the rain from the atmosphere but just think about it if the world started drinking water from the ocean and pumping all the Bryant back in how quickly The ecological systems would be damaged don't ask a question if you don't want an answer

@@SALFXEF An interesting asides if they go ahead with Na based rechargable battery Systems in place of Lithium chemistry for vehicles and they will have to to produce enough, not only will they producer safer lighter cheaper battery packs ..you can use the Na separated from the concentrated brine from large scale desalination plants. 😎🤞🏼 The Chloride's also used in chemical engineering feedstock along with other rarer elements like Lithium Ca, Mg, P, k, Cu etc.. Definately a result as California has several Desalination plants ... the problem is cost in terms of energy .. though if youve space you can use passive concentrated solar distillation.
