I developed big boobs and hips at 11 years old, and I don't feel represented at all. On the contrary, I feel like I felt back then. Like a big chest is somehow too sexual and inappropriate to showcase in a kid's game, even though there are kids who look like this. SSO tried to be inclusive but failed miserably. i had boobs and hips before i even hit the double digits, there are kids who go through puberty early and develop these features so i really dont understand why the only ones with any boobs at all are only the biggest body types. i can really relate, it really takes me back to being ashamed of my body to the point where i started hiding myself. that might not be why they haven't added any body types with boobs but if it is then it's really hurtful and really not inclusive like they said they would be.

There are some very new & better horse games out there & if they are willing to work with the player & listen to them, players will quit Star Stable & go to the new games. i really hate the people that are like "why are you guys upset about something you kept asking for??" like no.. i didnt ask for unfinished, buggy characters that don't even have all of their animations and full customization completed. people weren't rushing them on the development of them either to my knowledge, and when people asked questions about how the production process was going, that is NOT the same as saying "WHY ARENT THEY DONE YET WHY IS THIS TAKING SO LONG RELEASE THEM". anyways, i am not complaining about the new characters that much, especially like some of my fellow 10+ year older players are. i do think they look decent to a point and they certainly have potential at their current stage, buutt i can also definitely see why people are calling them toddlers lol.

You know whats funny? Before the update, my server was full of players using different models for their characters, now... everybody has the same face, skin tone varies between 2 shades and everyone uses the skinniest body option... GOOD JOB STAR STABLE 😂👏

it is true though, the body options they gave out is kind of limited. i'm glad they finally updated our characters, but i wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer just for more body types. i'm skinny, but a bit more on the curvier side, so when i didn't see my body-type there i was sad. happy that males can be actual males though, and that whoever is a bit on the bigger side now has that as an option in-game.

I'm a trans guy and when I watched the "Star Stable: A Mad Idea" video I just gave up. That was the moment I realized I will never have a chance to identify or represent myself with my character and I will still keep getting misgendered. From that point I no longer had any positive expectations about the future characters even when they said they want to include every body type when making the new characters and etc but man was I shocked when I entered the game after this update. I could write a whole book about what is wrong with them and with how they introduced them to us or how they made our expectations so high and now we got an unfinished product but I will stop here for my own health :) It's just sad to see a game you grew up playing collapse due to reasons that could be easily prevented

I started a new character, to see if I could be happy with that instead of the deformation of my old one. And I noticed that she’s genuinely bout of scale with everything else in the game. I think that’s probably why her feet don’t fit in the stirrups properly, etc. But she definitely looks about 12. I just don’t feel that’s appropriate. She’s a child in a game populated by young adults and older. It just feels wrong. More wrong than the lack of genuine diversity and predominance of fat body types.

the problem i have with the new character models is that they seem to lean on the "fat accaptence" and "health at every size" movement, which is big BS because at some point you're too fat for your own good, we shouldnt let these people destroy their own health and teach children its okay to look like that, it just shows them that they can be lazy and dont have to worry about they weight because they'll still be beautiful. i know that its not true and we shouldnt teach children that it is. And not to mention how UNREALISTIC it is for a fat person to sit on a horse (this is sso and i know they give a shit about it bieng realistic), not only does it hurt the horse but you wont be able to do show jumbing or dressage. Its simply not possible and sso shouldnt make it look like it is. If you want to ride a horse then get up and do something for your health and lose weight. I think it could be people with body dysmorphia, and I do understand and respect that, but I loved playing as sexy, strong women, it made me feel GOOD. I wanted to be that person, and it inspired me to work on my body XD For each person it's different, but it's so difficult! I watched it 3 times already and it is still SO good! Also thanks for pointing out the hypocrisy of new body types fans, I personally am plus size but would much rather have an old body type because this is how I always imagined my characters (not to mention I always imagined my characters as 18-20-year-olds not literal pre-pubescent children), and even though making myself 1:1 in the game isn't my thing I would be happy with more options... if those whare made wall and didn't take away our previous body type. I felt that. My skinny body type was removed from sso when the update launched. I do however have one issue with the community and I doubt many would agree with my opinion and that is totally fine! Believe what you believe in and don’t change for anyone but I do not under why people are going on the defense when people are asking for a bit of curve on the characters. People say that it shouldn’t be added because it’s a kids game, but my argument is that if this is a kids game, them why add pride month into it? Kids shouldn’t be pressured into anything and the argument stated that kids shouldn’t be worried about curves, so why should we have pride bows in game when it influences the games young audiences? Don’t get me wrong, I have absolutely noting against the lgbt community, however I think that peoples argument when kids are involved make no sense. It’s also sso’s responsibility to ensure that they educate their community on horses. There are weight limits to horses as well and I think that it’s fantastic that mote bodies were added. I just wish that people would have some empathy and see others point of view before trying to spread theirs.

Okay but... removing the context of hyperbole, how many of SSO's player/target demographic are Lara Crofts tho...? Don't get me wrong, I 100% get what ya mean. I certainly will not deny that SSO's community has a misandry problem and dare I say even an intolerance for gender non-conforming/masc people too but I guess this one struck a nerve with me. Societies and cultures still predominately hate fat people and fatness on the whole, let alone do we have it be an option in games design altogether in an historical aspect, especially on women characters, unless the intent is derogatory. I made this video because I was being attacked for asking for a thinner body-type, or one that represented the original. I also asked for boobs, and I got blasted. Anyone who is not happy with this update is getting attacked, and I wanted to bring attention to this hypocrisy. You might not agree, but I can show you TONNES of screenshots, of people being attacked for wanting one or other body type. I used Lara Croft as part of the joke. XD I'm glad you liked my videos, but I honestly don't like people who shoot down others who are asking for something that they'd had originally: basic female anatomy.

The thing is those with Lara Croft type bodies and make characters are represented in most everything other game and form of media. Here's the point of the video: just because you get what you want doesn't mean that others are happy. In fact some people, like boys, drop through the cracks and are completely ignored during this whole debacle. So, rather when you get what you want and someone else tells you they are unhappy, rather let them explain why they are unhappy and try to understand. Instead of wanting sso to add unrealistic Fortnite/anime like characters, with big butts and hips, large chest and super thin waist, advocate and protest for them to change the body proportions. We don’t really have to look like supermodels, and honestly I don’t believe you when you say “omg I look like that and they didn’t represent me!!”. Obviously youd like your character to be pretty and the standard body type for women in 2023 is still an hourglass figure with an insanely small waist, big butts and big chests. Some people are like that, but not most of them. Sso wanted to portray REAL bodies not to leave out anyone and not to make young girls insecure. And I can’t be mad at them about that: instead of representing the all liked “instagram model influencers” they opted for a more natural look. What they absolutely FAILED in, were the body proportions. The head looks too big, the chest is nonexistent, the waist is not defined and the legs are too short. Overall we look like toddlers, and not like teens. Teens can have smaller waists and bigger boobs even if they’re still teens; they could’ve added hipdips to make the characters look younger and more teenage- so, but they preferred to make the waist larger, making them look like children. Again, it’s not a matter of representation, it’s a matter of making your job very poorly. They could’ve been so much better if they had just changed the proportions to make them look like real teens. The problem is that people like you only like to complain and don’t see the issue as its whole, rather only for how it looks in the end. You criticise the final product and you don’t suggest different options. You want it changed not because it looks bad, but just because it’s not the body you want to play with. I will say it again: they failed the whole process of making them, they did not fail in representation.

Ok, first there are real people, without chirurgie, who look like the actual "beauty canon". My mother was one back in her 20/30s, just like her own mom. Maybe not in all countries but here in France we have a lot of young women looking like that as well ( of course not like Jessica Rabbit) and it's that type of bodies we'd want to see. And there's others like me who want this body type to be represented as well as the others for everyone to have an option. And yes, lot of people gave them feedback + suggestions since the first test, they didn't wait for you. However, SSO, as usual, sticked to their plan and didn't listen. I think that in 2023 we shouldn't have to compromize with everyone's definition of "normal body" and be able to make our avatar like we want it to be, to be comfortable with. Aion did it years before so it's clearly possible if they really want to do it. Plus wanting "realistic" bodies when you are riding a magical horse and do a lot of unrealistic things in game...

Please be coherent. I'm as mad as you are that they, as always, chose not to listen to the community. But i think you haven't read my comment properly, because my critic was NOT on the body types and their lack of representation, it was on how poorly they were made. Yet you still replied with "but i want a hourglass because it makes me represented and my mom had it!!". I'm sorry, but that was not my point, and you completely missed it. They failed in making right proportions and failed in making them look like women: so if they did, it would be obvious that they'd be having wider hips and smaller waists, and people wouldn't complain. Since they made them look like children it's clear that they won't have woman like features; but I wouldn't care if the quality of the character was good, which it isn't. Not to mention, since you also added it for some reason, I too have more womanlike features (i am 19, not 12). And yes, i'm tall, i have a small waist and a bigger butt and boobs. No i don't feel represented either, but that was NOT MY POINT! I wouldn't give a flying shit if my bodytype was not included in a horse game targeted to children, what i do give a shit about is having it made properly and not with abhorrent proportions. The real issue does not concern bodytypes and the so wanted hourglass figure, it concerns how the character overall was made. You can't just add a hourglass shaped body and make it look good, because it will look as out of proportion as the other ones. Look at the bigger picture, not at the details. @@Liisahh Actually you seem to fail to understand something simple: they changed the bodies because of people wanting to be able to be represented, not because they claimed wanting to change the MC and making her/them younger in the story ( where they made us between 16 and 18 as they told about returning to highschool one time). And now they are only offering these bodies, maybe to appeal the very not so inclusive body positivity community, either by laziness and wanting to be right in the inclusivity trend. My point was that if they say that they offer "more realistic" bodies with that update, then they claim that a huge part of our world isn't realistic at all. Now I don't ask for even more cartoonish "sexy" bodies but it wouldn't be bothering as SSO definitely stepped out of the realism when they started to remake the whole game and made it totaly fantasy-ish. The bodies they gave to us are a rather disturbing mix of a pre teen body with toddler features and older women's faces. We know they won't work again on it and on the proportions now, so at least people ask them for the classic hourglass which will definitely won't look as good as in any other game where young adults look like young adults but at least it'll offer a more regular option. At this point, and seeing how they usually do, adding a hourglass is the only thing we can hope. I don't say it's ideal, far from it, but I consider SSO's usual way of treating problems first. Now just imagine that this cursed eldritch horror of an update is what they came up with after working on it more than two years. Don't expect it to be fixed one day.

I like the new body types personally and think they’re pretty realistic for thin to thicker bodies. I appreciate that they aren’t the typical female body types that are present in every other video game. I think people are just not used to there being more masculine leaning and fat body options then traditional thin options and are put off by it. Change has to start somewhere and this is more realistic to the bodies you would see in real life at the barn in my opinion. I honestly think sso is really brave and admirable for sticking to their guns with this!

The main issue is: we don't have a character that at least SOMEWHAT represents the original - a character with BOOBS and with an hour-glass figure. People like the original character exist. When I was young I LOOKED LIKE THAT. But now people are claiming "That body type is unrealisitc" it's not. It is a body type, and it was one we all grew up with and associated with our characters. It's not about getting used to it, it's about making SUCH a big change without giving us something that resembles the original.

I get that people are upset that we don't have a skinny character, but I won't go so far as to call the skinniest one 'fat'. She's more an average body type you'll find outside in the real world. My personal gripe is more that we don't have a body type that is representative of our original characters.
