I have done all of these things as best as I can with my feeble will, but my faith is failing because my life is being destroyed, and I am overwhelmed. Closeness to God is becoming repulsive to me because I associate it with the destruction I am going through. Yet I understand the bewilderment of St. Peter: To whom would I go? I hurt. I don't understand. And I don't want to go on. Please, pray for me.

Pray to Our Lady, explain everything to her, tell her how lost you feel. She will help. I’ll pray for you

I am that color blind man Father but you forgot about a friend of that color blind man, that color blind man is actually not color blind but color deficient, he sees greys where you see bright color and thus he is not fooled by color. The color blind man (one in three men are) was and is used during war to see that which has been camouflaged because they see right through the camo. The advantage of seeing "The grey scale" as it's known is a huge gift to an artist, that's why all the greats were actually color blind. From Van Gogh to Michaelangelo the ability not to see full color was a gift, the color ability that was rejected became the foundation. What do I do as a colorblind man? Paint murals for the Catholic Church, for all current forms NO, FFSP and the SSPX. I do get your point Father but this one hit me on the nose. AMDG

Unfortunately, too many young adults like to be associated with others. Go places. Do things. Share experiences. Things that humanity agrees with but not so much Christianity.
