Sans doute Joo Sae Hyuk a-t-il gagné le match stratégiquement et tactiquement dès la première manche... Bravo à lui, parce que en face de lui, c'était un maître tacticien réputé et redouté. Toutefois n'en concluons pas trop vite qu'il est un meilleur défenseur que Hou Yingchao ; il est seulement probablement un meilleur joueur d'un point de vue général.

It takes another defensive player (Joo here) to really test Hao's ability. Hao occasionally beat some top players, not because of his skills but the equipment (rubber/short pips combo) that produces unorthodox/awkward spins to upset the opponent. Hao's basic skills' limited with many unforced attacking errors. Joo, normally a defender, can actually master loop drives when challenged. Admire his cat like footwork between defending and attacking. No wonder he's up against world-class players like Timo, ML, ZJK, Samsanov, etc. Hao won the China Championship last year only because his opponents are not used to his pimples tactics and WCQ lost due to shoulder injury in the final. ML, XX, LGY did not participate in the championship.

This comment I experience way to negative about Hou Yingchao....its always a meeting of own qualities and that of the opponent. But you should realize that Hou is a fenomenal en creative player who has ad a lot to our sport in terms of unique playstile and craftmenship....the wat he chips with short pimples, even with the plastic ball is able to give enormous effect and play variations and be able to play agressive sidespinattacks with fh...I enjoy this guy very much and to beat do many Chinese wellranked young players is an enormous achievement which is not possible without enormous qualities my friend, a bit more positive here please and appreciation for the guy. Yoo and former defender Matsushita I enjoyed also very much nu the way.

The problem with Hou Yingchao is not that he doesn't defend well but that he misses too many balls when he tries to attack. He also misses a few easy shots too and Joo Sae Hyuk just doesn't miss very often. Joo was playing great near the end of the match, making a lot of hard smashes and not missing many.

Not easy shots. He was forced to take highly risky offensive shots before Joo could take the offense and he is just not good enough. That is just not his game.

侯英超在日本打得也不太好，可是在國內確是“英雄”，把梁靖崑等一眾小將殺得血流成河。這也展現了目前中國國內缺乏削球手，也就缺乏對付削球手的訓練。日本削球手眾多，各選手都經歷了非常多的針對削球手的訓練。這要引起中國乒乓球界的注意，不然會有大麻煩。
